Gaming Setup: Xbox360 + PS3 + Gaming PC all on the same 24" 1080p monitor (H243H)

I don't have HDMI on my monitor, and I'm not buying an adapter. I do, however, have a HDMI input of the tower itself. How do I get to the PS3 display through the tower on my monitor?

@Cidiyance it only works if your laptop has an input like hdmi or vga but most laptops only have vga and hdmi outputs , so check that and if has got an input it should work

@Klarley it's a case by case thing. Most of the time the games will be developed for the xbox 360 and then ported over to the ps3 which usually causes the ps3 versions to be slightly worse :(. Some games however are better on the ps3. I would say all the fighting games are better on the ps3 since the xbox controller D-Pad is a piece of garbage. Just gotta look at each game and research.

I connected my PS3 to the same Monitor as you show here. But I find the graphics Blurry... The XMB menu looks perfect, but as soon I start a game the screen/PS3 change the resulution to something else. You can defently see that the graphics are NOT full HD... Do you know how to optimize the Screen for PS3-gaming.

Also, how to you change to HDMI-mode without entering the Menu on the screen? Nothing happens when I press "Input"..

The fact is, almost every game on the PS3 is still in 720p, meaning its not Full 1080p HD, while the XMB Menu is in 1080p. So this is not a problem with you PS3 or screen, just with the current gen games. On a side note, you can enable some hd upscaling settings in your XMB Settings menu.

THanks! FOr some reason, the games look better now. Not sure why. It's just as if the screen took a while to adjust itself after the PS3... Wierd. But the games doens't look blurry anymore and thats all I wanted :)

Yes, both will work on your PS3, but VGA will look shittier than DVI. And yes, HDMI-DVI is hardly any worse than full HDMI.

I could do all this with my 37 inch 1080p HDTV. I don't get the big deal? Oh and I wouldn't have to switch in back of my pc to change the cord. I just press a button on my remote. I don't have to do anything to change back to my pc. Watch the video again.. Also, the point of this is that you don't have buy an expensive hdtv just to enjoy the hd quality of your consoles, and it shows how easy it is to switch between consoles on the fly with this screen.

Lately I have been playing a lot of Battlefield Heroes on the pc, but there aren't really any good games for the pc out right now. I think between the xbox 360 and ps3 I would rather play on the ps3 for its free online multiplayer and better quality.

But it all depends on what games come out, like Mass Effect 2 and Forza 3 for the X360 and Uncharted 2 and MAG for the PS3.

I got both and I think the 360 is more fun to play. The PS3 controller is no match to the 360 controller and you have to pay for XBL, but then again XBL is so mutch better than the PS3 online. And the 360 got the best games imo. MAG and Uncharted 2 looks awesome but overall the 360 is better. But that's just my opinion.

hey i have my xbox and computer together but i only have one set of speakers. Now what i did is i bought a 3.5 mm splittler to connect my speakers to that way i can connect a 3.5 from xbox and 3.5 from computer to that splittler but the audio get s fucked up. Any suggestions?

Don't use splitters, trust me, you're better off just buying two seperate speaker sets. Splitters just worsen your sound.

when you plug in an hdmi cable, it will automatically play the sound of the hdmi source through the internal speakers. It sounds kind of metal-ish, you know? Like in a can. But after half an hour of playing, you stop noticing, and it's honestly not that bad.

a lot :P Well the PS3 with 2 games was €400,- The screen was €200,- 6 PS3 games were €250,- GH World Tour Complete pack was €200,- Xbox 360 with 1 game was €250,- 3 Xbox 360 games were €100,- 2 2.1 speaker systems: €80,- Cables: €15,- So in total that would be around €1495,- and that's excluding my €1200,- pc lol. But remember, I got it all at the electronics where I work and have a 20% discount, so for me it was roughly €1200,-.
