Yup, she was 13 at the time of her first album release and her first ID Peace B performance on stage ^^. (I believe she was home-schooled at the time.) Especially back then, it was a really rare accomplishment. Nowadays there's a lot of young singers. For ex, Sohee & Sunmi of Wonder Girls were 14 at the time of their debut. Meilin was 14 at the time of her debut, though she wasn't as successful and waited 3.5 years for her next release (in Japan).

I see what you mean =/. She didn't get to have much of a "normal childhood" since she was so busy practicing, singing, and dancing. Not to mention flying between Japan and Korea. I remember she stated in some interview that she misses the normal things other kids do. But she got a lot more that other kids didn't get.. such as fame and recognition at such a young age. Not to mention she's super talented =D.

Unfortunately, I really don't think she did. I've been a fan of hers since her debut, and I don't EVER remember her stepping out of the spotlight. When she wasn't active in Korea, she was in Japan, and vice versa.
