For the 2nd guy, when you lock your legs like that it cuts off the circulation to your brain, and you begin to feel light headed (some people run into this problem in marching band, thats why anyone in a competetive marching band knows to never lock your legs) combined with the idea that hes going to fall back, all he had to do was watch when the man would fall back to catch him. Their very lack of a belief system is what makes these people so suggestible in the first place. Derren is simply using his NLP skills to fill their subconscious need for spiritual fulfillment. You see, the very act of non-belief or denial is an affirmation the persons need to find some type of meaning in life.

If I had to guess...lets accept what we know to be facts...to create a strong illusion he had to have convincing people. It was too risky for the woman not to be involved, also the man...he wasn't trying to convince them he was trying to convince the evangelist. Pretty sure that girl at the beginning is a stooge. Then once everybody else sees someone who doesn't believe instantly converted, they're more willing to accept that Derren has some kind of mystical power.

(Remember the saying: People who scream the loudest...) People who go to such a thing, are somehow open to it, else they would not go. They just want some prove. But what sort of prove is it that Derren shows up with?

God gave this world FREE WILL. Much of the bad things in this world, is not Gods fault. Much of it is caused by MAN. The pollution to this world we've done, causes many birth defects and illnesses. For example: Pork is a widely consumed meat / product. Many people eat it without question. But did you know the Bible says not to eat it, because it is unhealthy for us to eat. Science has proven that many animals sweet out toxins. Pigs can not sweet... so the toxins are stored in their fat.

If god is the only reason we have free will, how is it free? Pigs are fairly healthy to eat too, there are many different ideas for why the ancient jews considered them unholy. Some even claim its because pigs sound eerily similiar to humans when they are butchered (their screams) and many cannibals say pig and human taste similiar. Thats not even to mention some of parasites one can obtain by eating pork that isn't properly cooked.

So Atheists just need love? When the definition of ideals and love falter in their minds, is why God does not exist. I knew he was gonna' catch that guy @ 4:28, way before the set up. He's giving the man what he needs emotionally. Its not tricks, it's insight and observations on people. I've had that gift always. Now I understand myself better, and understand others even more. I know Darren does not believe in God, but I do. Tricking others either direction is wrong. Teaching 2 empower is just.

@VothicX Do you mind if i bring up a few questions? Don't you think religion is just essentially a coping mechanism? And like that guy says, if it works for some then it's fine. However, on the notion of free will - supposedly, god created humans w/ free will - we're made of tiny cells and particles who make us up as a whole, don't these things essentially have free will, isn't that why some ppl have diseases? come on people, it's really easy to explain.
