My car wasn't a Subaru, but this commercial expresses how I feel about it.

I slid my Ford Explorer Sport into a ditch yesterday at 50mph. It went airborne, flipped over, and turned 180 degrees, landing on the roof. Nothing important, except the car, was lost and I walked away as healthy as if I'd merely been on a roller coaster. It was totaled in the process of saving my life. It deserved better from me.

Once the insurance claim comes through, I'll seriously consider a Subaru.

I don't know that the song has a name, but Lee Blaske plays the music. If you're on Facebook and send him a friend request, I'll bet he'll accept and answer you with the title. He's done amazing work for Disney, other commercials, jingles, and has his own CD's. He also does a lot of band/orchestral work. He is one very talented musician who plays many instruments.

This is how I feel about Volkswagens. I cried like a baby when I went to the salvage yard to get stuff out of my MKI GTI...Man that was some pain. I love all my Volkswagens like children and I lost a very special one that day. Good Commercial..I do like Subaru but don't own any. They have flat four engines from what I understand.

When I saw this commercial I was actually turned off. I was in a bad wreck with a Toyota, my SEAT BELT saved my life. A decent car should be able to protect you. I think its over dramatized, over the top. Not bagging on the car, just the advertisment

last week while driving my 1996 subaru legacy just handed down to me, i was hit by a man speeding through a construction zone. the car was thrown 75 feet and my car was destroyed, almost exactly the same as in this commercial. i survived with a bruise on my leg and a series of scratches on my chin. i went to the junkyard and took the badge and rear view mirror. i am going to put them on my new impreza.

my legacy also saved my life. i cry every time i watch this now.

Great Commercial..!! A couple years ago... We had a lady (customer) hit a parked Landscaping Truck at 62 mph. She didn't even have time to apply the brakes. The odo was frozen in time at 62mph.The airbag deployed, and the lady opened the door and walked away.

The engine was under the car. The entire front end was total destruction back to the "A" ... See Morepillar. And she opened the drivers door..!!! The Insurance adjuster was stunned. He bought his family, along with his 16 yr. old daughter in to see the vehicle.....they leased a 2008 Legacy SE Sedan.

Yup. Except for rollovers, the IIHS (I think) is now testing roof-crush strength of cars, which would evaluate how well a car will cope with a rollover. Most cars these days have acceptable front and side crash test ratings, but roof crush testing has just been put into the overall evaluation of the safety of a car.
