Extra time is usually added with the home team in mind...I remember a game between Honduras and Guatemala played in Guatemala and the ref gave Guatemala to the 54th min because they were wanting Guatemala to score not Honduras.
Trap was a gentleman when interviewed after the South Korea match. He said something about how SK played "with their hearts." Trap is a man of character.
Chievo-Juventus 1-1 the last sunday. Chievo scored 1-1 at 93th. Their players celebrated the goal for more than a minute. There was a substitution too. But the match ended at 94:00 without more additional time. I was thinking Juventus would have had more time to reach the 2-1 goal. I was thinking about Usa-Italy in that moment. "ok now the referee will assign more additional time" But it wasn't so...i had no realized that it was playing Juventus, not Usa national team women.
@ILSignorAntonio But you didn't say how much additional time had been added. If at 90 minute they added +2 minutes, then maybe ending the game at 94 was OK.
Another question: Between 90 and 93, why didn't Juventus score?
@rjkaneda 4 minutes. You can watch it in my last video added in my list. "Chievo-Juventus 1-1...". Obviosly the comment is in italian :D Juventus didn't score in the last minutes because it isn't strong as it was in the past ( especially 90ys when it played 3 ch.league finals ). Then the referee could add more extra time. But Juventus isn't USA :D If it had been Chievo-Usa the match would be continued till usa goal :hoho:hoho:hoho:hoho
If you think that there were no plots in 2002, I invit you to see the match of this world cup. Italy, Spain, USA and Belgium were disavantaged. For you it's not strange that the referees dissalowed five goals to a same team? For you it's not a little bit strange? Did you see the match between Italy and south Korea? Did you see this horrible scandal? Do you know that Moreno, the ref of this match is now in jail?
@azzuri111111 I saw almost every match of WC 2002. Yes, there were bad decisions. When Moreno expelled Totti, it was not implausible. Yes, he's been arrested for drug smuggling. But that doesn't mean his expulsion of Totti was part of a "plot." None of it would have mattered if Vieri hadn't missed that open goal.
Yes, there was the Hand of God, there was the out-of-bounds call against Spain in the South Korea game. I believe these were human errors, and not the result of "plots."
@azzuri111111 I must add that even though I don't think there are "plots" of the type you suggest, I am often unhappy with the results. I think Trap is one of the greatest football men in the world. He didn't deserve the SK-Italy 2002 game or the France-Ireland 2009 game. I felt very sorry for him.
But Brazil in 1982 lost regulary the match. The ref didn't advantage Italy. In 2002 the referees in three matches clearly disavantaged Italy (vs Croazia, Mexico and south Korea).
@rjkaneda Who dissalowed a regular goal to Antonini vs Brazil in 1982? The ref. An Italian player tore the Zico's shirt but Italy scored a fourth regular goal. An error for everybody, so at the end Italy deserved to win.
@rjkaneda Bullshit !! You live in a fantasy world if you think that they are no "plots" in sports ! Remember what happened at the Olimpiad with the chinese in gymnastics...And for the game between Italy & Korea - if those were mistakes, you don't know to much about soccer.
@wildmustang67 You're right, I'm wrong, I'm sorry. Who can argue with an authority like you?
By the way, how many WC Final matches have you attended? I've been to two -- italy/Brazil in 1994 and China/U.S. in 1999 (Women's WC).
If you believe in conspiracies, then why believe in anything about sports? Every time your team wins, it's a conspiracy. Every time your team loses, it's a conspiracy. You are more than welcome to look at the world that way.
@rjkaneda Generalizing facts and being sarcastic, doesn't make you right.Nor attending sports events. What happened at Olympiad with the chinese & what happened at the WC with the koreans it's obvious even for Stevie Wonder. it's not about conspiracies, it's about FACTS !! Nor Italy or Spain are my teams , and what the hell has my comments about "mafia" in sports , has to do with how I see life and the world in general ?! Try to be more objective , and please focus on the subject at hand....
@wildmustang67 I didn't say I was right -- I said you were right.
FACTS, yes, that's what we like. If you refer to Italy-Korea in 2002, a game after which Trap praised the Koreans for "playing with their heart," was Vieri's miss of an open goal the product of a conspiracy? He did miss it, which is in fact a FACT.
I do not dispute that there is corruption, match-fixing, and other evils in world football. I do not, however, believe in conspiracies or that they explain unfortunate results.
@rjkaneda FYI , corruption + match fixing = plot or conspiracy for any sane person. When you debate a subject please use common sense.. Fact : Vieri missed a gigantic oportunity. Nothing new, it happens in almost every game of soccer ! Fact: TWO valid goals in ONE game denied by a half brain referee , especially at this level = WTF !!! And then Spain episode, after that USA in 2010 + the worst one ever : chinese gymnasts at the Olympiad = WTF !!! I give you a clue : FOLLOW THE MONEY !
1998 quarter final vs France because we took our revenge in final 2006 but I can't accept the elimination of 2002. We deserved to win one of this 2 world cups : 1990 or 2002. In 2002 Spain, USA and Belgium too were robbed. Today we would have FIVE world cups.
@azzuri111111 Yes, and Brazil deserved to win in 1982. Everybody's got something to complain about but not everyone whines about "conspiracies" and "plots" for decades.
In 2002 yes it was a plot. It's impossible that a team have 4 or 5 regular dissalowed goals. Don't forget the referee of Italy-south Korea was arrested recently in New York for possession of Cocaine. a drug-addict eliminated Italy of world cup and with a correct and good ref, today Italy have perhaps 5 world cups.
I accept the other defeats : semi-final 1990, final 1994 (we hadn't play this match because Italy had to be eliminated before maybe Spain or Bulgaria) quarter final
Frings saved the ball on the line with his hand and he deserved to be sent off and the ref had to give a penalty for USA. If USA scored, 1-1 in 11 vs 10, I'm sure you can go to semifinal.
In 2006 during the match vs Australia Materazzi was sent off for a faul against Zambrotta, absolutely ridiculous ! Italy had to play in 10 for 40 minutes. In final Malouda dived in the first half time get a penalty. In second half time Toni scored a perfectly regulard dissalowed goal.
@azzuri111111 Now the americans will say that Moreno has been a great referee and the italians live in the paranoid ;) Let's stop...it's better this way. Be always proud to be italian my friend ;) More they hate us, and more we will be happy when we win....
Totti was sent off without reason (he fell but he didn't ask the penalty and the ref who was thirty metres behind sent him off) and he dissalowed a perfect regular goal of Tommasi.
In 2002 : 2 regulars dissalowed goals vs Croazia, 1 regular dissalowed goal vs Mexico. We passed second in the group but we deserved to be first. In eighth of final we played vs south Korea (a strange fact when you think that we're in group G and south Korea was first in the D. In a normal world cup, the qualifieds of the G group have to play vs the qualifieds). This match was a pure scandal thanks to the ref and drug-addict Moreno ! Two korean players have to be sent off during the match.
2010: Axel Morgan scores in offside 2 years later the end of the match. New FIFA RULE: The match ends when Italy loses. I hope the retun match end 10-0 for the american, otherwise the match should continue till the apocalypse :D:D:D:D:D
Costacurta have to be sent off and again in 10 vs 11 2-2 maybe Bulgaria would win.
But of course we were robbed : semifinal 1990 Argentina-Italy 1-1 (4-3 after penalties). Giusti, an argentinan player touched the ball with his hand and he had already a yellow card. The shit ref want to give the second yellow card but finally he didn't do nothing and just gave a free kick for Italy. If Italy played 11 vs 10, it would go to the final.
@azzuri111111 Don't forget the penalty not allowed to Italy in the second half in that match. Italy 90 = the once national team that play as host and it's tortured by the referees. Then this sad thing...Axel Morgan scores a goal 3000 hours later the end of the match in offside. Ahahahaha. I can't believe it. Now they're torturing our girls too. FIFA = Federation Italian Football Anti.
Giusti should be sent off before Caniggia's goal ;) It would have been another match. Have u ever seen a host team that it's tourtered by the referees ? Italian federations advised our coach saying " be careful. Vatrout ( french ) has already kicked out an italian team from a european cup " And so we lost another world cup that we desderved. As my friend told, Italy without plots would have 6 or 7 wc. It's normal that when we see ABSURDE THINGS ( like this goal ) we think about plots ;)
@ILSignorAntonio So, Vautrot sends off Giusti. Vautrot then lets the first overtime period go for about 25 minutes. That would be to Italy's advantage, since Giusti was gone for much of that time. Then Italy loses the shootout. Why Vicini let Serena take a penalty instead of Schillaci, I'll never know. Or was that part of the "plot" too?
I see you're prepared about our football history :D You know so much more things than me :D Reply yourself :D Anyway so many times Fifa musts hide the plots ;) It can't hit everytime ;) 1962 and 2002 have been polts against Italy. And i think you know it ;) Moreno catched with much more money that all earned in world cup. But it doesn't matter. The italians are mafiosi and Axel Morgan scored a perfectly regular goal. Everybody knows that time never stops :) especially when Italy doesn't lose.
@rjkaneda HENRY = HAND OF GOD. The french is a thief :D Would u have liked to win thank to Malouda's dive ? :D It was impossible not to punish that headbutt ;) Even if it had been a plot. Zidane beahved like a terrorist....and i tell it as Juventus fan :) Zidane has been one of the player that i loved most...
@ILSignorAntonio So, according to those dates, there was no "plot" in the USA-Italy game that just took place, where Alex Morgan scored at the very very end of extra time?
@rjkaneda@rjkaneda I already say you that sometimes, Italy was like other nations was advantaged : quarter final 1934 semifinal 1934 quarter final 1994 semfinal 1994 match vs Chili in 1998 with the fictiv penalty, penalty vs Australia 2006, sending off of Zidane in finale 2006, penalty vs New Zealand in 2010.
@rjkaneda the penalty that the ref didn't give to Malouda in the 2nd time of the final in 2006 the penalty that the ref didn't give to Ghana in the first game in 2006
disavantaged : 1962 vs Chili (but I think would win this world cup, Brazil was so strong) semifinal in 1990 vs Argentina with Giusti (maybe he was sent off but too late and it's useless because even though the ref prolongs the match because Giusti have to be sent off at the beginning of second half time not in extra time)
@rjkaneda It's different to play a match during 70 minutes in 10 or only 25 minutes but Vautrot was just an incompetent referee for Italy and Argentina, two of the best teams in the world. Italy was disavanteged in eight final vs Nigeria in 1994 with the fictional sending off of Zola. All the world cup 2002 except the first match vs Ecuador.
But I'm sure that you think that world cup was perfectly fair (specially for USA remember the rob of Germany vs USA in quarter final)
Italy was sometimes robbed but not in 1994. In 1994 the red card against Zola was a pure invention of the fucking referee but in the quarter final against Spain, Tassotti at the last minute dig with the elbow to Enrique in the sixteen metres. If the ref saw that Tassotti would be sent off Spain probably egalize 2-2. In extra-time in 11 vs 10 maybe Italy lost. In semifinal vs Bulgaria, when we won 2-1, Costacurta saved the ball with his hands in the sixteen metres and the ref didn't see again.
The final whistle was not corruptly delayed. The 2 min. extra time posted by the 4th official was, as always, an approximate minimum, not an ironclad maximum. The US had a throw-in at 2:40 of extra time -- not an outrageous extra allowance, by any means. Italy chose to sub then; the ref can't allow that simply to eat up whatever time is left. The sub was on the field at 3:00; the ball was in play about 3:05. Morgan scores at 3:15 -- not 3:20, not "2 minutes extra." The complaints don't add up.
In Italy we need way more support for women's soccer. There is simply no doubt that the american players are stronger, both physically and from a technical stand point. They had many more good opportunities to score, Italy was just trying to avoid the pain but it wasn't creating something. But how could they even do it? It's a miracle that they are fighting to qualify for the world cup, for how bad women's soccer situation is in Italy.
I see the score. There was just a single substitution. The match must be ended to 47:30 or 48:00. The goal is scored to 48:20. But it's normal. Usa can't miss the world cup ;) They have the power. Im proud of our women national team. They play having the whole football power against. So like im proud of italian national male team. Against all = 4 world cups.
@rjkaneda An extra-time of more minutes would have helped only the americans being more strong than Italy. 1 substitution = 2 minutes extra. Ahahahaha. The history is written. I didn't invented anything about the past. It's always the same since ever. Thank u Blatter.
@ILSignorAntonio Italians shouldn't complain about corruption scandals. You have had enough of them in Italy. Yes, there is politicking all over the place in FIFA, UEFA, etc. I don't think any of that had anything to do with Alex Morgan's goal.
@rjkaneda Ahahahaha. Don't make me laugh ahahah. Where's my corruption ? CALCIOPOLI 2006 ? It's an internal scandal ;) And if u're not italian you can't realize that has been a plot against Juventus. I don't want to compare the past scandals with this goal. I just told that Fifa hates Italy since ever. I repeat it. Try to inform about:
1) SANTIAGO BATTLE
2) KOREA 2002 MORENO REFEERING
3) EURO 2012 ORGANIZATION SCANDAL
4) BLATTER WHO RUNS AWAY WHEN ITALY WINS THE WORLD CUP ;)
@ILSignorAntonio That's an interesting theory -- "corruption" isn't "corruption" if it's "internal."
When Baresi, Massaro, and Baggio missed their penalties at the final of the 1994 World Cup, was that because of an "international plot against Italy?"
When Paolo Rossi's suspension for match fixing was lifted just before the 1982 World Cup (which Italy won, thanks to Rossi's goals), was that another example of an "international plot against Italy?"
WCFINAL1994 was a plot against Italy. I still remember the undeserved red card to Zola in Nigeria-Italy. He didn't commited fouls. Then playing a final in CALIFORNIA, on summer at 12:00 pm has been inhuman especially for the italians. The brazlians are accoustumed to play with hot weather. Paolo Rossi was punished for two years by italian federation for another INTERNAL SCANDAL. Uefa and Fifa were out of this. Internation scandal = 2002 wc. Without plots, Italy would have 7 world cups, not 4.
@rjkaneda We have won on the field for 4 times, losing two finals, one of these without plots ( 1970. That Brazil has been the greatest team of history. ), the other one ( 1994 ) undeservedly for several reasons ;) being the most succesful national team of Europe, and the second of the whole world. Being the most hated by FIFA. our football results seem like MIRACLES ;) History doesn't lies. Power football men = Brazil, Germany, France. Power football women = USA and Germany.
@ILSignorAntonio May I ask -- why does FIFA hate Italy? Does FIFA also hate pizza, pasta and Sophia Loren? Or do they only hate the Squadra Azzurra? WHY??
Was it because of FIFA that Lippi picked such a bad team for this year's WC?
1) Italy pratices catenaccio :) Fifa wants that the teams win the matches attacking, not defending. Italy has always won with the defenders. Joga Bonito makes earn much money.
2) The actual power of football is french. And between France and Italy there's rivalry, espcially about football.
3) The italians are the most hated in the world. We are always judged as MAFIOSI, SPAGHETTIEATER, PIZZAEATER....
You can tell us whatever thing...but we are not stupids ;)
@ILSignorAntonio I am sorry that you feel so persecuted. You should emigrate to the United States. You will learn that in the U.S., the women's football team is better than the men's. Although, obviously, when the U.S. women beat Italy, it is only because of sinister plots.
@rjkaneda Out of time :D Out of time i could beat Spain, playing alone :D It's not fair ;) But we are accostumed :) I don't care a lot about football female. But when i heard this scandal, i came here to write my opinion.
In Italy we don't play football matches on summer at 12:00 ;) But you know FIFA is so close to the problems of humanity :) If Brazil ( with Pele in the stadium watching the match ) doesn't win a world cup for 30 years so much people could kill themselves, as happened in the 1950 :D 1000 suicides for Brazil-Uruguay 1-2 ahahah. History doesn't lie ;)
This video is not about the amount of stoppage time (while questionable). It's about the goal scored by Alex Morgan, starting with a great long pass from Carli Lloyd & a beautiful assist from Abby Wambach.
If you're worried about "extra-time ... help[ing] only the Americans [as they are] stronger than [the Italians]", you should be more worried about how #6 and 5 (and goalie Picarelli) on Italy's team were unable to defend against/block Alex's beautifully placed goal. GO ALEX!
Simply, no. Again, the video is about Alex's (and the USWNT's) accomplishments... not about questioning the time added nor about nonsensical ideas of what the FIFA acronym stands for.
Even P.Ghedin was quoted admitting, "Even before they scored, we could have very well allowed a goal in the previous five minutes. We didn't have any strength left, and fatigue led to that goal."
5 min (in case time still is an issue) would take us back to approximately 43:18--before full time.

@summerj0711 Ahaha i didn't read this message :D Anyway Ghedin is still shocked by the death of his teammate, Re Cecconi, that was killed in front of him when they played for SS Lazio. All that he said doesn't count :D Anyway i see that there's too much fairplay in women football.
Angle is deceiving in first take but its not offside. Look at the replay at 1:13. she is in line with last defender when the ball was headed on. Timed her run perfectly.
From what I could understand, there was supposed to be 2 minutes of stoppage time. However, (and don't quote me on this) Italy chose to make a substitution either in the 90th or beyond and more stoppage time was subsequently added by the referee to accomodate for said substitution.
Again, I'm not entirely certain this is what happened; this is just what I pieced together from various comments and reports.
@yankbastard she wasn't offside when the ball was passed but when the ball was recieved she looked offside, but because she was onside when the ball was passed to her she was onside
@rjkaneda How many subsitution he did ?? One substitution = 30 sec extra. The american scored after almost 2 minutes. Such a scandal. Before Italy was victim just in the male football ( SANTIAGO BATTLE, KOREA 2002 MORENO REFEERING, EURO 1980, CHEATED MATCH IN THE EURO 2004 BETWEEN SWE AND DEN, EURO 2012 ORGANIZATION MISSED BECAUSE OF POLAND.UKRAINE CORRUPTION ). But now i see it's the same in the female one. As usual the guilty is BLATTER.

@azzuri111111 If only for Trap's sake.

ILSignorAntonio 1 year ago
@ILSignorAntonio But you didn't say how much additional time had been added. If at 90 minute they added +2 minutes, then maybe ending the game at 94 was OK.
Another question: Between 90 and 93, why didn't Juventus score?
Answer: They don't have Alex Morgan.
rjkaneda 1 year ago

Do you know that Moreno, the ref of this match is now in jail?
azzuri111111 1 year ago
@azzuri111111 I saw almost every match of WC 2002. Yes, there were bad decisions. When Moreno expelled Totti, it was not implausible. Yes, he's been arrested for drug smuggling. But that doesn't mean his expulsion of Totti was part of a "plot." None of it would have mattered if Vieri hadn't missed that open goal.
Yes, there was the Hand of God, there was the out-of-bounds call against Spain in the South Korea game. I believe these were human errors, and not the result of "plots."
rjkaneda 1 year ago
@azzuri111111 I must add that even though I don't think there are "plots" of the type you suggest, I am often unhappy with the results. I think Trap is one of the greatest football men in the world. He didn't deserve the SK-Italy 2002 game or the France-Ireland 2009 game. I felt very sorry for him.
rjkaneda 1 year ago
But Brazil in 1982 lost regulary the match. The ref didn't advantage Italy. In 2002 the referees in three matches clearly disavantaged Italy (vs Croazia, Mexico and south Korea).
azzuri111111 1 year ago
@azzuri111111 Who tore Zico's shirt in 1982?
rjkaneda 1 year ago
@rjkaneda Who dissalowed a regular goal to Antonini vs Brazil in 1982? The ref. An Italian player tore the Zico's shirt but Italy scored a fourth regular goal. An error for everybody, so at the end Italy deserved to win.
azzuri111111 1 year ago
@azzuri111111 That's my point -- there are always "errors for everybody," not "plots" and "conspiracies."
rjkaneda 1 year ago
@rjkaneda Bullshit !! You live in a fantasy world if you think that they are no "plots" in sports ! Remember what happened at the Olimpiad with the chinese in gymnastics...And for the game between Italy & Korea - if those were mistakes, you don't know to much about soccer.
wildmustang67 7 months ago
@wildmustang67 You're right, I'm wrong, I'm sorry. Who can argue with an authority like you?
By the way, how many WC Final matches have you attended? I've been to two -- italy/Brazil in 1994 and China/U.S. in 1999 (Women's WC).
If you believe in conspiracies, then why believe in anything about sports? Every time your team wins, it's a conspiracy. Every time your team loses, it's a conspiracy. You are more than welcome to look at the world that way.
rjkaneda 7 months ago
@rjkaneda Generalizing facts and being sarcastic, doesn't make you right.Nor attending sports events. What happened at Olympiad with the chinese & what happened at the WC with the koreans it's obvious even for Stevie Wonder. it's not about conspiracies, it's about FACTS !! Nor Italy or Spain are my teams , and what the hell has my comments about "mafia" in sports , has to do with how I see life and the world in general ?! Try to be more objective , and please focus on the subject at hand....
wildmustang67 7 months ago
@wildmustang67 I didn't say I was right -- I said you were right.
I do not, however, believe in conspiracies or that they explain unfortunate results.
rjkaneda 7 months ago

Today we would have FIVE world cups.
azzuri111111 1 year ago
@azzuri111111 Yes, and Brazil deserved to win in 1982. Everybody's got something to complain about but not everyone whines about "conspiracies" and "plots" for decades.
rjkaneda 1 year ago
In 2002 yes it was a plot. It's impossible that a team have 4 or 5 regular dissalowed goals. Don't forget the referee of Italy-south Korea was arrested recently in New York for possession of Cocaine. a drug-addict eliminated Italy of world cup and with a correct and good ref, today Italy have perhaps 5 world cups.
I accept the other defeats : semi-final 1990, final 1994 (we hadn't play this match because Italy had to be eliminated before maybe Spain or Bulgaria) quarter final
azzuri111111 1 year ago
The game had to finish 2-1 for Italy in 90 minutes.
azzuri111111 1 year ago
@azzuri111111 I of course acknowledge that referees make mistakes all the time -- just like everyone else in life.
However, I do not believe these mistakes indicate a "plot."

Totti was sent off without reason (he fell but he didn't ask the penalty and the ref who was thirty metres behind sent him off) and he dissalowed a perfect regular goal of Tommasi.
Italy deserved to have FIVE WORLD CUPS.
azzuri111111 1 year ago
In 2002 : 2 regulars dissalowed goals vs Croazia, 1 regular dissalowed goal vs Mexico. We passed second in the group but we deserved to be first. In eighth of final we played vs south Korea (a strange fact when you think that we're in group G and south Korea was first in the D. In a normal world cup, the qualifieds of the G group have to play vs the qualifieds). This match was a pure scandal thanks to the ref and drug-addict Moreno ! Two korean players have to be sent off during the match.

If Italy played 11 vs 10, it would go to the final.
azzuri111111 1 year ago
@azzuri111111 Don't forget the penalty not allowed to Italy in the second half in that match. Italy 90 = the once national team that play as host and it's tortured by the referees. Then this sad thing...Axel Morgan scores a goal 3000 hours later the end of the match in offside. Ahahahaha. I can't believe it. Now they're torturing our girls too. FIFA = Federation Italian Football Anti.
ILSignorAntonio 1 year ago
@azzuri111111 Giusti was sent off during that game, in the 13th minute of extra time.
rjkaneda 1 year ago
Giusti should be sent off before Caniggia's goal ;) It would have been another match. Have u ever seen a host team that it's tourtered by the referees ? Italian federations advised our coach saying " be careful. Vatrout ( french ) has already kicked out an italian team from a european cup " And so we lost another world cup that we desderved. As my friend told, Italy without plots would have 6 or 7 wc. It's normal that when we see ABSURDE THINGS ( like this goal ) we think about plots ;)
ILSignorAntonio 1 year ago
@ILSignorAntonio So, Vautrot sends off Giusti. Vautrot then lets the first overtime period go for about 25 minutes. That would be to Italy's advantage, since Giusti was gone for much of that time. Then Italy loses the shootout. Why Vicini let Serena take a penalty instead of Schillaci, I'll never know. Or was that part of the "plot" too?
rjkaneda 1 year ago
I see you're prepared about our football history :D You know so much more things than me :D Reply yourself :D Anyway so many times Fifa musts hide the plots ;) It can't hit everytime ;) 1962 and 2002 have been polts against Italy. And i think you know it ;) Moreno catched with much more money that all earned in world cup. But it doesn't matter. The italians are mafiosi and Axel Morgan scored a perfectly regular goal. Everybody knows that time never stops :) especially when Italy doesn't lose.

ILSignorAntonio 1 year ago
@ILSignorAntonio So, according to those dates, there was no "plot" in the USA-Italy game that just took place, where Alex Morgan scored at the very very end of extra time?
rjkaneda 1 year ago
@rjkaneda @rjkaneda I already say you that sometimes, Italy was like other nations was advantaged : quarter final 1934 semifinal 1934 quarter final 1994 semfinal 1994 match vs Chili in 1998 with the fictiv penalty, penalty vs Australia 2006, sending off of Zidane in finale 2006, penalty vs New Zealand in 2010.
azzuri111111 1 year ago
@rjkaneda the penalty that the ref didn't give to Malouda in the 2nd time of the final in 2006 the penalty that the ref didn't give to Ghana in the first game in 2006
disavantaged : 1962 vs Chili (but I think would win this world cup, Brazil was so strong) semifinal in 1990 vs Argentina with Giusti (maybe he was sent off but too late and it's useless because even though the ref prolongs the match because Giusti have to be sent off at the beginning of second half time not in extra time)
azzuri111111 1 year ago
@rjkaneda It's different to play a match during 70 minutes in 10 or only 25 minutes but Vautrot was just an incompetent referee for Italy and Argentina, two of the best teams in the world. Italy was disavanteged in eight final vs Nigeria in 1994 with the fictional sending off of Zola. All the world cup 2002 except the first match vs Ecuador.
But I'm sure that you think that world cup was perfectly fair (specially for USA remember the rob of Germany vs USA in quarter final)
azzuri111111 1 year ago
Another reason out of football:
2010 Haiti earthquake : FIFA MADE A PLAN TO HELP HAITI. Ok it's correct :)
2009 L'Aquila ( southern Italy ) earthquake: FIFA DIDN'T SAY A WORD ;)
Southern Italy: the poorest zone of the world.
ILSignorAntonio 1 year ago

Larafreschi 1 year ago
In Italy we need way more support for women's soccer. There is simply no doubt that the american players are stronger, both physically and from a technical stand point. They had many more good opportunities to score, Italy was just trying to avoid the pain but it wasn't creating something. But how could they even do it? It's a miracle that they are fighting to qualify for the world cup, for how bad women's soccer situation is in Italy.
Larafreschi 1 year ago
I see the score. There was just a single substitution. The match must be ended to 47:30 or 48:00. The goal is scored to 48:20. But it's normal. Usa can't miss the world cup ;) They have the power. Im proud of our women national team. They play having the whole football power against. So like im proud of italian national male team. Against all = 4 world cups.
ILSignorAntonio 1 year ago
@ILSignorAntonio Don't be so paranoid. If the referee let the game go on "too long," that also gave Italy the chance to score too, no?
rjkaneda 1 year ago
@rjkaneda An extra-time of more minutes would have helped only the americans being more strong than Italy. 1 substitution = 2 minutes extra. Ahahahaha. The history is written. I didn't invented anything about the past. It's always the same since ever. Thank u Blatter.

ILSignorAntonio 1 year ago
@ILSignorAntonio That's an interesting theory -- "corruption" isn't "corruption" if it's "internal."
When Baresi, Massaro, and Baggio missed their penalties at the final of the 1994 World Cup, was that because of an "international plot against Italy?"
When Paolo Rossi's suspension for match fixing was lifted just before the 1982 World Cup (which Italy won, thanks to Rossi's goals), was that another example of an "international plot against Italy?"
rjkaneda 1 year ago
WCFINAL1994 was a plot against Italy. I still remember the undeserved red card to Zola in Nigeria-Italy. He didn't commited fouls. Then playing a final in CALIFORNIA, on summer at 12:00 pm has been inhuman especially for the italians. The brazlians are accoustumed to play with hot weather. Paolo Rossi was punished for two years by italian federation for another INTERNAL SCANDAL. Uefa and Fifa were out of this. Internation scandal = 2002 wc. Without plots, Italy would have 7 world cups, not 4.
ILSignorAntonio 1 year ago
@ILSignorAntonio I don't know about that; you (or rather, Italy) still have to win the games on the field.
I can only conclude that were it not for these "plots," Italy would never lose. That certainly makes sense, doesn't it?
rjkaneda 1 year ago

WHY??
Was it because of FIFA that Lippi picked such a bad team for this year's WC?
rjkaneda 1 year ago
In order of importance:
1) Italy pratices catenaccio :) Fifa wants that the teams win the matches attacking, not defending. Italy has always won with the defenders. Joga Bonito makes earn much money.
2) The actual power of football is french. And between France and Italy there's rivalry, espcially about football.
3) The italians are the most hated in the world. We are always judged as MAFIOSI, SPAGHETTIEATER, PIZZAEATER....
You can tell us whatever thing...but we are not stupids ;)

About the stoppage time:
From what I could understand, there was supposed to be 2 minutes of stoppage time. However, (and don't quote me on this) Italy chose to make a substitution either in the 90th or beyond and more stoppage time was subsequently added by the referee to accomodate for said substitution.
Again, I'm not entirely certain this is what happened; this is just what I pieced together from various comments and reports.
