I love this look, and if you add a mildly metalic color to the crease it adds some extra glam. Staying with the brown hues and making the metalic in the crease a gold color it really makes green eyes pop!

I think you did a great job, you picked the perfect subtle blush and eyeshadow colors and have a great technique. I really don't think you need that much, but you look great! Have you ever thought of using a lighter shade on the brows, so that the saturation of color does not compete with your eyes? That's my latest trick. See if it works for you. It should draw others' eyes more to your eyeBALL and not the eye area.

I'm so glad I read this post. I've seen other tutorials featuring the Maxine's Mop brush. The application was so precise I wanted one for myself. I went to a bajillion makeup counters and drugstores in a fifty mile radius asking for "a Maxine's Mop brush by Loew-Cornell." Nobody had heard of it or Loew-Cornell. I didn't know they were PAINTBRUSHES! XD That's what I get for not googling! Michael's here I come.
Went to Michael's this past weekend. A woman walked up to me in the p/b aisle & talked bout herself for 10 min. straight; ignoring the dilligad look I was giving her. She's an artist & she loved meeting other painters blah blah blah. Then she asked "What do YOU paint?" I said, "My face. I'm buying these as makeup brushes" She said "oh" in a condescending way, then turned around and walked away. I stood there lqtm thinking, "I have to tell kuuipo1207 THIS one." hee hee ;)
Okai well i have like verry dark bags under my eyes and i hate them and everytime i try and cocver them up with cover up it makes them look cholky...:=(\
What color concealer are you using? You want to use a salmon colored concealer that's a shade or too lighter than your foundation. If you're just using a flat white (or close to white) concealer, all it will do is lighten the darkness, or like you said, make it chalky. Check out evepearl here on youtube. She has a concealer video explaining about using a salmon colored concealer. :)
yep...I liked Swiss Chocolate on myself cause it has a kind of reddish underon tone to it which i think looked better on my skin tone, but Espresso would work just as good too. :)

I can give it a shot. I can also reccommend a few youtubers who are women of color that are great with makeup tutorials---candiecc, EmsyJay, QueenofBlendingMUA (she's just awesome period). Hope this helps for now! :)
Does the fluid line dry fast? And when it does dry... does it look like liquid? I see you smudge it on the lower lashes. I am about to purchase a few of my very first MAC cosmetics! I'm sooo excited!!! I just wish we had a MAC store close. :-(
I think it looks closer to a pencil liner when it dries. I use it on my lower lashes cause when I use my Eye Kohl pencil, it chunks in my lashes. As for how fast it dries, well...it dries semi-quickly. lol. It doesn't dry so fast that you can't smudge it before it dries, if that makes sense. :)

I think it's a personal preference, but I tend to apply the color right in the area when I would have a normal crease, and then blend it upward so the color sort of fades into my highlight color. That way, it's not too much, but the color can still be seen when my eyes are open, since I have slightly hooded eyes. :)

sorry for everyone who uses mac.. but the maker of this video is right...those things are SOOOOOO EXPENSIVE...AM I RICH OR SOMETHING..!!? good that she made a beautifull look by her own instinct..honey...that's just amazing!!
I love make up but ain't so rich..i don't have time nor the money to afford all these brushes and..whatever?? thank you by the way awesome! xxies vani..!

Hi! It seems so much fun watching you put on different colors of eyeshadow, but it's quite complicate when I try it on myself. I either turn out looking scarey, or I feel like there's something missing. I guess I need more practice huh...But anyway, I just wanted to say that you are truly amazing at what you do. I love watching your videos. Keep it coming. BTW, you have a beautiful face with and without makeup. YOU ROCK!

What are the best affordable/value-for-money eyeshadows?? I would love to improve my eye make-up and some of the cheaper ones just don't blend well, but I cannot afford the top brands. What's the best deal?

Well, I'm not really familiary with all drug-strore brands mainly cause i don't want to spend my money on something I'm not going to use, but I do have quite a few of the Loréal H.I.P. eyeshadows and pigments and I think they're great! :)

hey i ve been watching ur videos for a quite and so and today i went to a store with cosmetics and i couldnt find mac producrs only clinique and other famous brands and i would like to know if these brands have the same colours of eye shadows with mac and the same name..??help..

I'm so glad I read this post. I've seen other tutorials featuring the Maxine's Mop brush. The application was so precise I wanted one for myself. I went to a bajillion makeup counters and drugstores in a fifty mile radius asking for "a Maxine's Mop brush by Loew-Cornell." Nobody had heard of it or Loew-Cornell. I didn't know they were PAINTBRUSHES! XD That's what I get for not googling! Michael's here I come.

Went to Michael's this past weekend. A woman walked up to me in the p/b aisle & talked bout herself for 10 min. straight; ignoring the dilligad look I was giving her. She's an artist & she loved meeting other painters blah blah blah. Then she asked "What do YOU paint?" I said, "My face. I'm buying these as makeup brushes" She said "oh" in a condescending way, then turned around and walked away. I stood there lqtm thinking, "I have to tell kuuipo1207 THIS one." hee hee ;)

What color concealer are you using? You want to use a salmon colored concealer that's a shade or too lighter than your foundation. If you're just using a flat white (or close to white) concealer, all it will do is lighten the darkness, or like you said, make it chalky. Check out evepearl here on youtube. She has a concealer video explaining about using a salmon colored concealer. :)

yep...I liked Swiss Chocolate on myself cause it has a kind of reddish underon tone to it which i think looked better on my skin tone, but Espresso would work just as good too. :)

Yes, I washed them the night before to get the starch off of them that the packaging companies use to help keep the shape of the brushes. :)

Does the fluid line dry fast? And when it does dry... does it look like liquid? I see you smudge it on the lower lashes. I am about to purchase a few of my very first MAC cosmetics! I'm sooo excited!!! I just wish we had a MAC store close. :-(

I think it looks closer to a pencil liner when it dries. I use it on my lower lashes cause when I use my Eye Kohl pencil, it chunks in my lashes. As for how fast it dries, well...it dries semi-quickly. lol. It doesn't dry so fast that you can't smudge it before it dries, if that makes sense. :)

It also depends on how thickly you apply it. The thicker it is, the longer you have. The thinner the amount, it dries quickly. :)

I don't but if you check out EnKoreMakeup's video Paint Brushes vs. MAC Brushes, he goes through each of the MAC brushes that he has substitutes for and show you them side by side. :)

But the song "Don't Worry, Be Happy" is by Bobby McFerrin. I listened to the 45 my parents had of it all the time while I was growing up in the 80s. The song is, however, commonly mistaken as being by Bob Marley because the lyrics are similar to Marley's "Three Little Birds" :)

The thought of Bob Marley singing DWBH has me lq2m. Bobby McFerrin did the absolute WORST imitation of a generic West Indian accent since Miss Cleo the psychic. It's so bad, it's painful. Second, what's next? Frank Sinatra originally cranked dat soldier boy? Third...whaddya tryin' to say? All Bobs sound alike? Tee hee! Oh man! Thanks for the laugh, I needed it.

I think it's a personal preference, but I tend to apply the color right in the area when I would have a normal crease, and then blend it upward so the color sort of fades into my highlight color. That way, it's not too much, but the color can still be seen when my eyes are open, since I have slightly hooded eyes. :)
