Those cars are still too expensive. could they have gotten a better deal. 3.4M. those cars are half that price in the USA. the intention is comendable though. its a bout time those Ministers had no say in wht they drive.

A sad day for Kenyan car fans. The good old MABENZI has been gotten rid off. A bad decision. Daimler has a policy: so long as it is a MERCEDES you will get its spare part. Worldwide one can buy a spare part of MERCEDES, however old the car and model. VWs turnover is made from recycling cars with a shorter life cycle than MERCEDES. Also the government could have found suitable MERCEDES with the same engine capacity like the PASSAT at comparable prices. I think the decision makers were misled.

Mercedes C180 has a less Engine capacity than a Passat and is safer, cheaper to maintain and consumes 7.4 liters of fuel/100km while passat take 6/100km....this is a ploy to eat

we kenyans are too pesimistic i guess this a first step.. but in the long run we head towards Japanese cars.. cheaper and longer lasting.. ata a lexus would probably be more cost effect than a passat in my opinion

I prefer Mercedes due to superior technology, hence lower maintenance in the long run.The Volks have be maintained regulary considring the poor road conditions.consumption is also lower on the right mercedes
