  • awesome review. this is exactly what i'd like to see in a review. not a detailed blah blah about how many ports and other specifics that everybody can see on the product's website.

    thanks man!!

now on to the second part..

  • Thanks for your reviews. A few forums have said the atom chip couldn't handle hd (720p) and it's nice to actually see it working. Although video streaming will be primary use of the revo, I'd also like to do light gaming such as sega Saturn and PS1 emulation and maybe some internet games, have you ever tried any form of gaming with the revo? I know it wont handle MW3 and GTA4 but I don't care much for those games.

  • @domdomdom1993 I haven't messed with any emulators in a long while. If there is a simple enough download you want me to try I can give it a shot and see how it fares.

  • Can it run HD? And does it feel nice to use?

  • Bodyrock! FTW!

  • Hi, did the advice work (setting the custom DPI)? I have just ordered one of these, with 4GB RAM. Is yours the 2GB model or 4?

  • @smifta1970 The DPI tip was great for view-ability at the native resolution. Thanks to Gary for that. Performance wise I really did not see a difference since using the drivers I mention in the update video in the description.

With those drivers it plays 1080 at 30 fps. Frame rate is lower in window mode (though why would you want to watch 1080p that way anyway). Going back to full screen still stays at 30 fps (new flash perhaps) Netflix HD is still ass in any resolution. Mine is a 2GB model.

  • 1080 chokes because your not running 1080 screen resolution and its having to re-size it. Refer to my other DPI post

  • Dont lower the resolution.

    Goto Windows Start Button

    Type DPI press Enter

    Adjust as required

You may need the Set Custom DPI on the left.

  • Do people still use DivX for ripping?

  • @SpeedoJoe dont think so

  • how do you get ad blocker?

  • @glitchmonster1 I use NoScript for Firefox. You can get it at noscript.net. I blocks just about everything by default so you will need to allow the sites you trust to run scripts for ads, logins etc.

Does away with a lot of spam ads on websites.
