Robert has some wonderful qualities but he is also a bit of a chauvinist and overly opinionated at times,.
Brendan Coyle plays his part so well and he's gorgeous and easy to look at.

I agree with you completly about Robert. However, it is a very true depiction of the attitudes of men towards women at the end of the 19thc.
