I had the same problem as MrTragiiKz . The action was make the effects on G still. The way I fixed it by clicking on the letter l layer, and then went into the actions panel, and double click on Set Selection then clicked ok and it worked.

Thanks for the reply. I like the effect of the reflection being close to the white line, but I don't like the tails of the "p's" crossing. Could I use a mask to cover the reflections bottom "p"? One more thing, Would you consider creating a demo on the effect of a explosion of a planet. i.e. like the one in the star trek movie. I believe it was called an energy wave as a planet exploded. Thanks for you excellent glass text effect.

@MrSlipdisk The only problem with masking the letters is that it would affect the layer styles applied. But an easy workaround would be to put the letter P into a group and apply the mask to the group instead. And if I were to figure out a good way to make that effect, I'd definitely post a tutorial on it =)

I have a question. Is there a protocol when making the reflection? i.e. lower case "p" and "q". When trying to keep the majority of the text close to the white oval, the tails or lower parts of these two letters cross into each other.

When i'm trying to add highlights under the letters using the marquee tool and then duplicating the layer, it just duplicates the line again and not the area I selected with the marquee tool. Am I doing something wrong?

I've got a problem when I'm duplicating the light line layer (making the highlights of each letter). Once I duplicate it duplicates the entire light line and doesn't become as small as yours. (Yes, I did use the eliptical marquee)

@Lennart50 hey, I played around a bit because I ended up with the same problem. I just right-clicked on the selection and chose "layer via copy" which seemed to work out just fine. I'm not sure if you're supposed to do it that way, but what the hell, it worked ;)

Incredible Video. I think I speak for us all with a big thank you and that we appreciate your time to do all this for us, we know it's not quick and easy. Your opinion, I was running smoothly until I got to the part of setting up the layer mask over the clouds and choosing the brush to take away some of the clouds. My brush was just painting the foreground color which is black. I rinsed and repeated 3 times still to no avail. Any thoughts?

@JaxRwld Just double-check that your layer mask is selected, rather than just the layer by itself. It's simple enough, just click the layer mask and you should see it highlight a little bit to show that you have it selected. That should be it! =) And thanks for the comment!!
