Sendai does slope down hill at the end, but depending on where you stand creates an illusion, other people who have raced there will tell you thats it actually goes up in the middle from the start, not by alot at all, but it certainly doesnt slope down from the start, (the end, there is a slope)
However what people need to consider is this is an unprepped track, so what little gain in top end people drivers are benifiting from its lost due to the non preped track when it comes to poor 60fts
i think japanese tracks arent up to western standards for the simple fact that the government/motorsport assosciations there havent implemented any stringent rules for safety. Look at most japanese circuits. apart from the big dollar tracks, the local ones dont have sandtraps and soforth, but basically dirt walls 10 metres off the pavement that many people crash into. Whether the track owners don't bother due to lack of space or cost, doesnt matter, as its obviously just not enforced.
@LAVASTICK - No, i'm a jap man all the way.....i just saw one particular video of them drifting in the wet at the Ebisu D1 track...just local drifters, and they were just drifting into the walls they had at the end of pit straight without any remorse at all for their cars.....but obviously thats not all of them. Just a crazy select few. Plus its prob the best time to learn total control, out in the wet. Jap cars 4 life.
no, you can actually see that it goes downhill. Use the fence on far side as reference. At about 1000ft it heads down big time. Not trying to be rude, just pointing out.
awesome love those real skylines not those crappy american tuned ones that do like 12's and 13's then race nova's and make the real skylines look bad I'd like to see them talk trash about these ones and their street cars
when you know that these cars are drown now or completely radio active i'm getting tears..

Overall, Sendai does slope downhill....even before the finish line. Also the only dedicated drag strip in Japan.

whats with the down hill tracks in japan?..can someone explain to me why they are not on leveled tracks

I think a lot of it is an optical illusion caused by the uphill braking area
