Maemo 5 and the N900can pretty much run anything when its hacked right...... nice piece of kit....., out of box you can stream toons,video etc over your wlan to pc with no aditional sw needed on pc or n900.

I am excited by the idea of this, but I really feel Nokia has missed a trick by not including USB OTG functionality in this handset, which was a feature of all of their previous web tablets.

In most of these videos you see a cable coming out of the USB port. Is this connected to an intermediary PC? Some extraneous arduino circuitry? It would have been so much more elegant and excellent with a USB port that could operate in host mode. I.e., USB-OTG.

I'm still gonna get one though ;-)

The phone is unlocked and running Linux, there is no need for Jailbreaking. You basically have complete control of the phone as-is.

Only difference being is; N900 software "hacks" and mods wont void your warranty or break your device because customization is encouraged by the very nature of the Maemo operating system.
