Relax, the person may actually smoke but more than likely the smoke is just to enhance the visibility of the laser for the video and make it look cool. Notice the shot where the camera focuses directly at the laser and you can see the beam spread out. That wouldn't be possible if there weren't some particulate in the air like smoke or a LOT of dust, fog, etc.
