i will say this Steve Balsamo sings this great however this might becuase its the recorded version of it but it seems to be lacking in the passion department. im not comparing it to the french version but the way he sings it sounds like he is not feeling it. not feeling like his heart needs to be ripped in two. not feeling the frustration at having to chose between these two equally desirable women. just saying

the practicalities of watching the English or French version is not the point. Those who complain about the English would damn well watch the French. The whole point is about the relative value the English version is judged to have- relatively less than the French.

First, what kind of a singer is this? I was inclined to think it was a trouser role. Second, who the heck wrote these lyrics? They make this guy sound like a total sissy. That, and some of them just sound really dumb. "I want two women's love / Two women want my love" heck, make Phœbus a polygamous Mormon and get on with it.

Really? Having heard both, this was the one I could take the least. "Torn apart" just isn't nearly as powerful as "Déchiré!" And this guy seems to be even more of a sissy than Fiori... :D

Translation... not so great. But translating a song is hard, because the syllables have to fit the rhythms as well maintaining the meaning.
