yes ur right u do clamp the 5 plys of wood to the tech deck but when u clamp it, the 5 plys of wood will mold to the shape of the tech deck

u could definitely build your own boards

all u need is to buy bigger wood and borrow someone board and cut out the actual size

and u would have your own board and building your own boards

when you cut the venner b4 you but the glue on etc. cut the wood kinda small then you can just sand it down
