You are translating Nipali into Urdu. Indian film makers of Bombay & Bolywood use Urdu in the films, resulting in Pakistani & rest of the worlds Urdu speaking think that Hindi is same as Urdu.

As Muslims use to rule India, so they had one common language for better communication 'Urdu' that was made out of Persian, Arabic & Turkish. When India was taken away by force from Muslims with propaganda of Brits, Jinah & Ghandi, they took the Urdu too and labeled it as Hindi as every one understood it.

Of course India has had a long line of Muslim leaders. Basically she can say she's translating it into Hindustani. In both Hindi and Urdu it is said as "mera naam X hai". You're not wrong in your statement unless you're referring to chaste/old Urdu and Hindi. Urdu has a lot of farsi and arabic words, Hindi has a lot of Sanskrit words. Hindustani is the combination.
