this is based on a real town called Centralia, its in Pennsylvania. a garbage fire on the edge of town ignited a coal vein which now burns underneath the entire town and beyond. smoke comes up from the earth and GIGANTIC cave ins that are acres wide occur at random. the scary thing is, there is enough anthracite coal underneath the town that it will burn for a thousand years, no joke. and theres no way to quench this fire.
