The next morning, when the husband is on the phone, he is calling a plumber to come. When she asks who was on the phone he says "Your boyfriend" because he was jealous because he had read the red book and saw that one of the unchecked items was to "kiss a tradie" (a tradie could be a plumber or maintenance man sort of thing.)

She realizes that he read her book of "Things I want to do before i die" (the little red book.) When the husband comes home, she's upset because she's mad that he read the book, and a little ashamed for wanting to kiss someone else. Which is why he goes and dresses up like the plumber so she can check that off the list without cheating on her husband and feeling guilty.

Especially the wonderful actors; their talent appears effortless, and they make the film beautiful without becoming schmaltzy - a task more difficult than you'd think in this genre. The writing is similarly, effectively sparse. One of the best short films I've seen.

She has a to-do list before she dies. On her to-do list, she wanted to go to a strip club (the beginning) and also to kiss a tradie. She took her ring off before the strip club and then put it back on when she came home. I don't know whether or not the husband knew fully well of her list but it was obvious he did when he got uniform of the tradie and came back and kissed her, that was something on her list and she got it.
