  • Nice flying!!

I just got my first heli, a coaxial mCX. I am planning on practicing with it for a bit, then moving to the 120 SR because I would like to get something to take outside on relatively calm days.

I'm loving the mCX though. Only had it for a short time, but having lots of fun with it!!

  • i have that heli to xd

  • well I have been flying sims so i got really good at hovering, im trying to fly outward then turn and come back and land, im having a hard time doing that.

  • did you mod this helicopter except advanced swashplate setting or is it original like the bnf or rtf version?

  • @richard21153 only advanced swashplate settings, that is only 'mod' I did.

  • would you say that this Blade 120SR is for beginners?

  • @dustinhinton well, a just starting off beginner should start with a coaxial. There are many great choices such as the Blade Scout, the Blade mCX(or mCX2) and the Blade CX3. After you master a coaxial, then step up to a fixed pitch heli like this 120SR, or the blade mSR X

  • Just got my 120 SR and am able to hover it. You make me sick on how easy you turn it around and around. Good Job. I have the 450 3D but won't be flying it for months.

  • @rrbcap You will get there, it just takes time and practice! Good luck and happy flying! And thanks for the kind comment!

  • Get the Blade Sr, dont get the mcp its too hard

  • can u 3d this helicopter? and would u suggest i get this or the mcpx...i am an intermediate flyer looking to start 3d right now i have a msrx

  • @adjgrrr1234 no, the 120SR is a fixed pitch helicopter, it is very similar in flight to the msrX just a bit larger. If you are looking for a 3D helicopter, check out the mCPX version 2.

  • what % gyro in this video?

  • Children, no need for trolls

  • Does it fly more like the CX2, or the 400 3D?

  • @link13742 it is an FP heli, inbetween those two. It flies like an FP heli :)

  • @link13742 Well the Blade CX2 is a coaxial so probably more like a 400 3D, I've got a few coaxials and they don't do much.

  • Here's what you need to do. Go inverted fly it right above your head, then lower it down slowly and give yourself a freakin haircut hippie .... :)

  • @sbs9026 Your an ASSHOLE!!! Enjoy the vid & shut the fuck up Douche bag! I'm in here to watch Heli Vids..Not to hear People complain about how Gay They really are!

  • @robbie2737 - Hey Robbie, Your an Under-Educated TARD living in your mom's basement. Why are you even talking to me - Tard? Wanna know why your a TARD?

Lets do the math. I called earthling1984 a "Hippie", that needs a "Haircut", You somehow connected that with how "Gay" someone is ??? That all add's up to you being a seriously under-educated "TARD" !!! Oh, and one last thing - "Your A Tard" !!!!

  • @sbs9026 you really are a dumb fuck, arent you. the blades are curved like a fan, so it cant go inverted

  • @link13742 I'm saying this to you in a mocking tone - "The baldes are curved like a fan".... bla bla bla. Your the dumb-fuck that totally missed the point. Your obviously a TARD as well. Can you even fly an RC helicopter? Probably not, because you spend all our time in your mom's basement sucking on a bong !!! Being an Internet Tough-guy in regards to someone telling another guy to try and give himself a haircut with an RC helicopter. This makes you look like a total Idiot - dosen't it !

  • @sbs9026 Now your just making yourself sound stupider then u really are.....Like I said shut the fuck up-keep your shit to yourself....I'm talking about the negative comments...Btw did u say my mothers basement? Don't think so you Fkn punk!

  • What controller are you using?

  • @Rapierky1 I have a DX6i, DX7SE, and DX8. not 100% sure what one I was using at the time of this video though.

  • Does this go as fast as the mCP X?

  • @dittsboylogan you can probably make the mcpx go a bit faster. they aren't really comparable since the 120SR is a FP and the mCP X is CP.

  • thats gotta be going 30+mph!

  • I think I am going to purchase this bird just to prepare me for forward flight on the sr.

  • @bakonlicious nice, you posted this 3 weeks ago, have you got it yet?

  • @bakonlicious Well I was about to and then I got word about the MCP x and went that direction. Sadly I do not have that heli either. I think I will by the summer though

  • Do you have lots of experience flying helis?

  • @outside4areacleaning been flying about a year now.

  • Damn! I can't wait to get one of these!!!!!!

  • I just ordered one today sweet!

  • I think I might buy one of these this weekend

  • @FuriousPixel cool you will enjoy it.

  • I love this little heli! It's very durable. It has the same tail issues as the msr, so it's a good idea to give the tail rotor a little bend outward once in a while. You'll hear it. It's ready for a little bend when it sounds like a bee. Just like the MSR. Nice vid! (your vids are always good though). Good job!

  • Awesome little heli this!.im about 2 weeks in and can throw it round inside and out on adv swash settings. Its a defo a good step from a coax as it almost flys the same!.How dyou find it in low wind though?,its not too bad in a garden or with tree cover, but i took it to a park today with low wind and it was almost uncontrolable.Ive heard trimming 10-15mm off the main blades can help a ittle...

  • Good flying man.Im a couple of weeks in with my blade mxc2 coax heli and im getting confident with it now.would you say an FP heli like this one would be much harder to fly?

  • @chiQiboy Hey, cool that you are enjoying your hobby and the mCX2 was a perfect start! As for the FP heli, the blade mSR and 120SR are PERFECT choices for stepping up from a co-axial. They will be slightly challenging, but nothing you can't handle. If you want to fly inside your house, I recommend the mSR. If you want to fly in a larger room or gym, then the 120SR is great. They are pretty much the same helicopter, the 120 is just larger.

  • do you think a beginner that only have experience with crapy two chanel helis, but have a lot of experience with planes can fly this?

Can it fly indoors as a "vinter season" helicopter?

  • @matrobsti If you took it slow to start, and worked on hovering before doing any fast flight, you probably would be just fine with this heli.

  • After your Video I purchased the 120SR, its really easy to fly if you are advanced in RC airplane and have practised a bit on a heli simulator.

1 bad thing is that I have a tendancy to fly far and want to make large boucles, and this Heli is soo small and have so litle surface that if you fly further than 30-40 Meters, you barely cannot see it :(. For sure its really crash resistant :)

  • @MrBnowak Awesome, I'm glad you are enjoying your new heli! You are right that the 120sr is very durable! As long as you turn off throttle when you are going to crash, the heli is almost always fine. It is a small size helicopter, so you can't fly it too far away from you or you will have problems with sight and orientation... but, it is a small helicopter, so you can fly it close. It is great for the front or back yard.

  • Is it better for a beginner to do a hand takeoff?

  • @GuyofManyHobbies table takeoff

  • But the sr is?

  • @bakonlicious The SR is collective pitch yes.

  • Is the 120 sr a cp also?

  • @bakonlicious no it is FP(Fixed Pitch) like the mSR.

  • What is the difference between this heli and just the sr?

  • @bakonlicious not much. It is a little larger, that is about it.

  • great videos loving them love e-flight helis got 4 already next up is the sr 120 looking forward to it. glad you posted makes me want it even more now looks great fun at the moment are there any other batteries that work with it other than the e-flight ones ?

  • Great Vid! What kind of flight times are you getting with the stock battery?

  • I have plane and heli exp but wanted to see what your opinion was on which heli out of the msr and 120 msr you prefer and why. Thanks

  • @u2nvme they are very similar. It really depends where you plan to fly. If you want to fly inside your house, the mSR is a better choice. If you want to fly in a large gym, or outside on calm days, the 120 SR is great.

  • agreed....I have both, and they really fly very similarly. they are both very durable, easy to fly, and extremely fun to fly especially on the advanced swash plate settings. Both can be flown indoors, although the msr is a little more appropriate. The 120SR is much more appropriate for outdoor flight as its size and weight help to fight against winds.

  • How much did that one cost, Does it come with controller, and Is it worth the price?

  • @MrCF545 it is $150 for the BNF(need a transmitter) or $180 for the RTF(includes verything). It would be nice if it costed a little less, but I think it is worth it. It is a great flying helicopter.

  • Hi there! Great flight and Wow is that little bird fast! I moved up to the advanced swash plate setting and am totally loving it! Great video friend. Keep up the fantastic work and happy flying.

  • @georgesjunglerc great, it is much more responsive. It is faster, but i find it easier to control on the advanced settings even at slow speeds.

  • @earthling1984 Will this bind to a CX 2 Tx and fly right? that is what I have my mSR binded to.

  • @standhd if your mSR binded to it, then yes this will too.

  • compared to the msr wich one do you like better and why?

  • @YourFriendlyMe I like them both equally. The mSR is better for smaller indoor areas. The 120 sr is better choice if you have a large indoor area, or calm weather and want to fly outside. just depends where you want to fly.

  • You should do some work on ur sw tank, make it into a nice reef

  • That sounds alright

  • So what's the flight time

  • @CFloaded 5 to 7mins.

  • ...

    Nice flying.

    Thumbs Up ~ Eric

  • nice heli for around the house ,,ill definetly gonna get one ,,great flying ,,like it better as the msr

  • wow that is awsome, all you need is the cameragirl

  • @iissyy123 yeah, she wasn't home yesterday when I made the first two vids of it :(

  • WOW, man you keep tempting me to get this heli but i really want the UM T-28 first. If i get this heli i will have to get all new lipos and maybe a new charger.

It is seriously quick. Where you able to keep it in a straight line for a speed run or would it tend to dart off to one side? Because my MSR does that alot.

  • @stalyoni my mSR does want to sway a bit to a side when flying straight/fast as well... I haven't noticed any sway on this one yet, but I have only flown it a couple times so far. It comes with a good charger, but only a single port charger. Extra batteries are just $10 a piece.

  • @earthling1984 the lipos are more then that here in Australia. I think ill hold off and see what the UM t-28 is like. Im hooked on my HZ champ at the moment. I already have an MSR and the bigger SR. I just need more prac on the SR.

  • @stalyoni The 120 SR has the same pendulum effect that the MSR has, but it is way more fun than the MSR because of it's size. I just picked up two more batteries for mine yesterday.
