  • glen martin, get a fishing rod ,it's cheaper and more fun.

    nice try though.

  • electric?

  • You guys have REALLY got to get a HD camera...

  • lol stig flying

  • looks like two men holding up a third

  • imagine if tony stark is real, he'd be laughing at this so badly.

  • Communities (Homes) built then Caters to the Flying Craft where you can land directly home. Flying Crafts must be regulated to reduce noise. By Law you are to descend (Land) between 25 Ft - 100 Ft from your Home. You are to stay within 7 Ft from your House Landing Spot.

  • Either that or there are Two Parachutes on-board the Flying car. You Die with your Flying Car or you jump out. This will leave people responsible. If there was a death related to your Flying Car and you are found responsible you will be imprisoned for Manslaughter. The Flying Car is only for this generation. It may be "Obsolete to the Flying Craft". Unless it is impossible because of weight, the Flying Craft doesn't have wheels and you can land on your driveway.

  • One Parachute is for the Flying Car (jet pack). The other is for private just in case the Main Parachute Fails. When the electric generator fails the parachute is activated. By Law you are to steer to the safest landing zone possible. If you are found to steer to the second or last safest landing zone possible you will be cited and imprisoned. By Law you are to keep 20 FT away from the next Flying Car. By Law every Community is to Have a Take Off zone. Cars go there to launch.

  • I can picture an electric generator on this Jet Pack instead of a gasoline type engine. Slap on a shell and you got yourself a flying car. With Two passenger only. Children will have to be driven. When they grow up they can Fly at the age of 21. Drivers License at 18. No need to recharge and you can fly as far as you want. By Law you can only Fly for 3 hours before resting 1/2 an hour. There are two parachutes on-board. Both has to be checked and replaced every five years.

  • i love how it need three people to hold it still

  • where's waldo!

  • i could design a better one

  • @jukio02 Unlikely.

  • @MadsterV lol, ok

  • @bluemax those are jet turbines, rather than the rockets that "jetpacks" usually have. Hence it is a true jetpack

  • @macbooknoob not a turbine. Watch a real turbine at watch?v=ZhdZLGTP-2w and skip to 3:44

If you read the specs at the site, they say this is a V4

  • How high can it go?

  • Ladies and gentlemen we would like to present to you the long anticipated new combat arm of the RNZAF

  • it looks like the two guys are just holding the freaking thing up

  • its not a jetpack demo. its an anabolica demo!

  • Those don't look like jets... Hence JETpack...

  • I want Carl Johnson's jetpack. At least you could hide his. The one in the video is indiscreet, to say the least. Not just how noisey it is but man, it takes up a heap of room. No meeting the date and saying, "hey babe, let's jetpack to the theatre". Just who would validate the parking for such a noisey monstrosity?

  • u realize this could be used 10 times stronger to power cars (flying cars)

  • Very cool! Thanks for posting!

  • we are so slow behind in tech

  • @vality1 no u do not know how smart the human race is. im serious each country has at least one secret technology that is only thought of in sci fi movies but it is here right now!. we even have technology that can go faster than the speed of light! we even have tech that can stop pollutiona and poverty all together but they dont announce it all cos of "POWER!" which i find extremely stupid

  • hey look the US airforce showed up

  • hope its not on full throttle cause it seems to be struggling at even that height pathetic they ask for $10,000 to bounce around on this thing and compare it to skydiving on their site GAY

  • wow, you sound like you are from New Zaeland, so many wonderful surprises from such a small but beautiful country, good work Mr Martin, much luck with your machine ^.^

  • This machine will never fully transition into forward flight because the vanes

used to control it will loose effectiveness and render the unit uncontrolable.

They already know this limitation but will never tell you...

  • @Habib4226 shut up idiot or make a better one, since you seem to be so fucking smart

  • @Habib4226 explain the demo with forward flight that's on the site then...

    I guess "never" has arrived!

  • This machine will never fully transition into forward flight because the vanes

used to control it will loose effectiveness and render the unit uncontrolable.

They already know this limitation but will never tell you...

  • @guigs219 what a terrible pun.

    you sir, lose 3 internets.

  • I wanna see it go up 8000 ft.

  • Check out "Jetlev".

  • Awesome I want one

  • Still too big, too noisy, and too expensive.

  • its too big, mine as well just make a mini helicopter.

  • Its very very expensive so dont waste my time

  • poor fucker

  • does the two helpers come with the package?

  • hahahahahahahahaha

  • @PsCruk lol no i saw another jetpack video and they just hold it so that it doesnt go on the audience lol but good one

  • It's sad how stupid people can be , bashing away at something they don't even understand. This is a very nice , carefully thaught out step forward. It might stay in use even if/when/after "true" jetpacks become practical. In fact , it probably will. Seeing your videos made my day. 5*s

  • @shmuckling exactly what i was thinking.....every video of this thing on here there is a bunch of people bitching about how stupid it is when its the 1st one to even come remotely close to working

  • wow real mature

  • when will there be a flight more than a few meters.

  • dude it already happened, this video is of their first public version. They now have a fully operational mainstream model capable of flights to 8,000ft and speeds of 60mph with 30 minutes of sustained flight. cheer!

  • See other videos on MartinJetpack channel on YouTube

  • there will be a fly over christchurch city early next year

  • @jordan178v it can get to 8000ft its just being show off

  • It's pretty sick that they've got that thing running on regular gas and only 50hp. It's the first practical jetpack

  • Early prototype for a Robotech Cyclone.

  • I was wondering what the engine was. Looks like a flat 4, but I couldn't think of a high powered engine of this type that sounds like that, outboard, motorbike, aviation, subaru, then I replayed and heard that you had to design your own engine, wow, that is the expensive option.

To those questioning the low height flown in the vids, that is normal for test flights for experimental vtol, often are tethered as well. You want to make sure nothing breaks before going higher.

  • goes 30 miles in 30 mins...

sounds fun and its street legal

  • I also thought the dangling feet would throw off the balance. Making the device rock and more difficult to steer. And lowering the pilot would add stability.

    What engines are you using?

  • I would add a small cockpit and tail and make it the first real skycar. I think it's too cumbersome and impractical to be a back mounted device. My 2 cents.

Keep at it, were all watching and waiting! Make sure to add a few cup holders for my wife :)

  • Absolutely love it! You guys really have achieved a significant flight milestone. Who says Kiwi's can't fly! Ignore the nay saying ninnies, you deserve the success and all the best with the commercialisation!

  • i dont like it! thay need more work 3 stars

  • crooks

  • you're just mad because you didn't come up with this yourself.Always a negative person willing to open their mouths and make themselves look a fool

  • :D

just look at the vidéo, and all the others, they never let this thing fly, it doesn't work !

  • they answered why this is if you would bother to listen or read further .

  • no they didn't.

  • I beg to differ ,I have read ALL the reports on this , not just the one video. ITS called research .You might want to try it sometime.

  • awesome!
