I'm very surprised that even after over 20 years of civil war and violence, Xamar still looks better than most of the peaceful cities/towns in Northern Somalia(Bosaso, Hargeisa, etc).

Inshallah when there is peace, diaspora can rebuild Xamar and make it beautiful once again!

Lets make Hargeisa the national capital while Mog can be the commercial capital. Lets not put all our eggs into one basket, if you know what I mean. Not all countries have their biggest or most prominent city as their capital. New York's bigger than Washington, Canberra is bigger than Sydney, Lagos is bigger than Abuja, etc..

I am from Somaliland but I cant see it ever getting recognised. I think its out turn to have the Somali capital on our turf and see whether it works out. Peace to Somalia
