  • this songs truly resonates so many feelings I have had thoughout my life. My father in law truly loved it when I first played it for him, he grew up in this era but never heard it, but you could see it in his face how much the words represents truth in his coming of age in the 60's and 70's.

  • Steve in my eyes was one of the greatest singers &composers of all time R.I.P BRO. TJ

  • excellent!

  • Did Steve know Lennon personally? I know the Small Faces crossed paths with most of the British invasion bands (not that they were allowed to do much invading themselves, unfortunately) but I don't think I've ever heard anything about them and the Beatles. Aside from the fact that Steve was a fan, of course.

  • This song will now be officially refered to as: "Teenage Anxiety (Rick's Theme). Don't ask.

  • Great voice !!!

  • this ain't Humble Pie dude..it's Steve Marriott........Greg/Frampton and Clem aren't here....Jerry's a nice bloke..........and a former member of Humble Pie....he stole the name of the band licensing wise............ask anyone ivilved including Frampton.........Humble Pie was Steve Marriott...........Jerry was just an average drummer for God sakes.

  • Is this on Street Rats? I am gonna see if I can find the old cassette!

  • @mrwoodrow No it's not on Street rats.. it's on "Go For The Throat" I'm pretty sure,, one of the reformed "Humble Pie" albums.. although Steve could have really called any band he was in "Humble Pie" I think without Shirley and Ridley it wouldn't have been.gotta love Greg's vocal growl... I'd say Tim Hinkley became an honorary member near the end tho..

PS woodrow.. If you still have that cassette of 'rats" pleez pretty pleez lemme now if you'd sell it..!

    Doc Rock

  • Grow up fuckers! This was one of Steve's greatest. Steve never gave up on his performances or writing skills. I know, I was his friend til the end.

  • I really believe that Steve meant it when he sang "if i had my time to live again, I guess I do it just the same". And, why not! We wouldn't want it any other way except for Steve to stil be alive and rockin!!!!

  • Even with a voice damaged from booze, drugs & screaming, Steve still kicked ass.

My only (small) complain would be his song writing skills in later years. If he only could keep a form at least from the early-mid 70's.

  • Steve still wrote great songs but he didnt record a lot of them. Listen to Phone call away and the Bigger they come for example

  • what a voice.

  • I loved the 70's !:D

  • Man, why am I not more tuned into this stuff. I'm so sick of the junk on the radio. Off to download as much Humble Pie as I can into my ipod!

  • :D!!

  • Steve Marriot= The best singer ever... No other band could make such an amazing sound. R.I.P Marriot. R.I.P PIE!

  • I definitely prefer their earlier work than the 80's stuff but this song is very good.

  • Interesting ! Cool Stuff !

  • Why isn't the pie played on the radio? Steve Marriott is a LEGEND! Humble Pie THATS rock and roll!!

  • becouse radio is ment to play garbage

  • exactly....

  • Are your ears painted on ya cunt?

  • yea it is tough out there.......

  • great. so great. so so great.

  • simply F*$£ing ace.

  • soulful as ever! everytime. by the way where did the 'for your love' vid go? The best version I have ever heard.

  • why did they take down the vid,for your love, brill version unpluged, could you please put it back ,now!!!!

  • I've no idea who put that video up, sorry

  • @davidronan its still on here somewhere, i seen it the other day

  • This band makes me realize how much classic rock radio sucks...so so bad....

  • I agree...literally thousands of tracks to choose from in the huge pool of classic rock archives, yet classic rock stations continue to shove songs like "sweet home alabama" and "hotel california" down our throats...after about 10,000 listens they get a little played out. I'd love to hear some Humble Pie/Small Faces on the radio. Oh well, that's why they invented Ipods

  • OMG again. To the post that Roadied with Steve. Wow! How too cool! I saw them four times in concert, and was wanting the fifth. Oh well. Didn't happen. Thank goodness for Youtube. Right?

  • Heart moving tune, love this band.

  • great song... great performance.

  • Miss Steve 420!!!

  • spot on nice job, i used to roadie for steve marriot back in 1984

  • OMG thats so cool! wish i was you! lol

  • Anyone have Humble Pie's Version Of the Beatles song "RAIN" ??

  • Check my profile, I uploaded it.

  • Can you put studio cuts "Thunderbox", "Can't Stand the Rain", and some other cuts off GO FOR THE THROAT or ON TO VICTORY??? I love Steve and his music but lost these albums years ago.

  • I put up Can't Stand The Rain. The other songs might take a few days, but I'll try to put them up as well.

  • love this song. makes me sad when i listen to steve sing about how his heros not here any more cause he is mine. i know what hes singin about.

  • steve marriott lives!!!!!
