Her Mom never let her outside, because she didn't want her to grow. She stopped eating so she would stop growing and satisfy her Mom. This was all down to her Mom.

Each case is different. You should think about that before you run your mouth, you know?

What bothers me the most is the people who say 'Look how unhealthy skinny people are!' and they use that as an excuse to think that being fat is healthy. The truth is that there is a healthy weight, a balance between fat and muscle. It is much more common to be above this healthy weight because of the massive abundance of food, but it is also possible (but much more rare) to be below it. Physically fit girls are the most attractive, not fat, not anorexic, but fit.

Obviously, this is a tragedy. I simply do not understand how this disorder manifests itself into the psyche of someone. To defy human physiological desire to nourish one self and feel satiated is so foreign to me, far more so than the reasoning for obesity. Anyone who doubts that, go ahead and starve yourself for a week. By the end of that week you'll feel like you are on smack or coke (if you ever tried it before) The reason is because the brain releases endorphins as a way to jump start you to hunt for food, so you don't lay about and die. What happens with these women is they get addicted to it, and the reason it happens to women more than men is because they get it rammed into their head by the media that skinny is cool, and they try it more.

@haggstein123 partially true. it is a very serious illness and no; the ones who have it are not the only ones that can make it go away. and it doesnt just "go away." i personally have been bulimic for 7 years and i am only 20! i have been in inpatient care several times and trust me, the world around you plays a huge role in recovery. my family thought rehab was a cure for this and i would come out and everything would be fine. i relapsed 2 weeks after getting discharged and they have no idea.
