  • Just watch out for the great whites

  • Hi everyone, English gal here. I just want you to know how much I love and admire the Australian people, particularly those from Perth. It's not just because most Australians have British like me, it's because you turned a fairly desolate island into one of the most modern and magnificent nations on earth and yet you're not arrogant. The majority of people here in England really love you, regardless of what anyone says. Plus, you're the best in the world at cricket, my favourite sport!

  • nice

  • I dont want to leave Perth... but have to go back to Melbourne PERTH I LOVE YOU!!

  • i really want to live in Australia... :)

  • want to live here. from canada

  • Im went to Perth. The beaches were great. Except I would hate too live there. The beaches will get old and boring. And there will be nothing else to do. I think I will just keep it as a holiday destonation.

  • @tarkineWild its not a shit whole its beatiful and theirs so many things to do!

  • My family has lived in Fremantle, Perth for 8 generations :) So happy to have been brought up here. I've been to Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and all over Europe and they are all amazing, but Perth is just so unique. Yes, over east has awesome shopping and a great atmosphere, but after a few days in a busy city like Melbourne, I just can't wait to get home to the awesome relaxating feeling Perth has :) Love it, never leaving!

  • @tarkineWild i wont disagree that there is basically nothing to do here... but after being to all the big cities in america, and a few in europe, there was nothing more satisfying then coming back to perth. You just loose that feeling of hostility.

  • @tarkineWild AHAHAHA Excuse me if I laugh but... have you saw the rest of the world? I'm lucky and I travel a lot in my job.. and let me say that Perth it's one of the most beautiful city I ever saw. If I'll be lucky on one day i'll come to live there or somewhere in WA :-). Of course there're lots of wonderful places around but WA.. it's simply amazing. G'DAY from Sicily.. I just had my breakfast with vegemite :-)))

  • @aerdna1975

I've had the good fortune to travel to many countries and cities throughout the world and like many cities I've encountered ,it lacks soul , history ,culture and sophistication . Sure it has wonderful beahes and people are friendly enough but its sterile and dull I've been twice in the last 5 years for work commitments. but would not go otherwise...

Good choice of condiment for breaky too but Idare you try and convince the locals otherwise lol

  • This city looks nice only, its a crime city same like melbourne , i was assulted by a native boy on bus 6 months ago, and today 17/5/2011 some one tried to steal my car, he broke the window and lock ignition, it cost me over 1100 $. i am moving to canada forever . and going from Australia with very bad experience, Police is useless.

  • @MrSmile1087 geez dude you just come out of 1955?? Native boy!? wrong

  • born and raised in perth. 20 and still live here. beaches are still amazing, just get real packed at the main ones. and still havent seen snow :(

  • All I've ever heard about Perth is that they've had a few evacuations on their beaches due to sharks. No thanks, but it's pretty to look at! :)

  • @lbwhite89 been here for 20 years... only ever had 2 that i recall and they werent at popular beaches.. only because a whale dead whale washed up and attracted a few

  • I am moving there on 5th march cant wait!!!!

  • Now I'm too old (63) to return to Australia as a permanent resident, since age 45 is the cutoff. Guess they don't want us old Americans utilizing Australia's free universal health insurance - who would want that except the 60 million Americans who have no health insurance? Cold winter days here in NEUSA remind me of why I loved living along the Indian Ocean!

  • i wanna go 2 perth now 4 holidays...i live in new zealand

  • Cool video.... thanks

  • I'm going to live in Perth next year :)

Maybe some new people willing to get to know me?

Some young ones? I'm twenty. You can send a message :)

    cu ;)

  • Perth is the best city in the world

  • wuah will be there in 2 weeks !!! :D

  • ....only thing about Aussie beaches ..are...SHARKS! AHHH ..

  • @Laureng1996 Although not there all the time lol. They give you fair warning at patrolled beaches if they're about. If they get too cocky about attacking humans, they're tomorrow's fish and chips

  • @Mechknight73 ;) lool yuuummmy

  • @Laureng1996 been here 20 years and get probably 1 shark sighting every couple years

  • my god, u r sooo lucky to have a hot christmas.. on the BEACH! x-mas here in london is FREEEEEZING! ..snow :/

  • @Laureng1996 i'm lucky but not enoghu.. i got only 3 or 4 hot christmas.. is frezing also at my home.. i come from north Italy :-)... ok is not like london but it's cold

  • @aerdna1975 yea..u have the Alps aswell right ? which must make it soo cold BRRR! :)

  • @Laureng1996 and in America!!!

  • I'm happy to live in Perth.....but if you are coming here from overseas be warned it's very hot from Nov to Feb. Best to come in spring or autumn.....summer is too hot

  • The water is warm, but it's sending me shivers. A baby is born, crying out for attention. Memories fade, like looking through a fogged mirror Decision to decisions are made and not bought But I thought, this wouldn't hurt a lot. I guess not. Control yourself. Take only what you need from it.
  • Hi! im canadian and am thinking in moving to perth for my studies is its hot all year around there?

  • @meninhamorena No, hotest months are dec, jan and feb and the months surrounding are warm too. The only cold months are June, July and August and the months around those can be a bit iffy. But cold isn't so cold here, it can still be 18 or 19 during the day but might make it to 5 in the middle of the night. But summer it can be 40.

  • check out cott beach as well, it's another good one.

  • Going to Perth for Xmas. Can't wait to head to Scarbs, Hillaries and Freo. Best coast there is

  • looks too cold for Christmas in Perth! lol.

  • perth, (L) my hometown.

  • I'm moving to perth in june, can't wait to have a hot summer!

  • home town

  • i live in perth i can go the beaches whenever i like :)

  • @nandos5566778899

    stop that!!!

  • @nandos5566778899 my house is on west coast drive :D

  • Enjoy our awesome beaches. Throw your rubbish in the bins please though, we have plenty available. :)

  • Enjoy our awesome beaches. Throw your rubbish in the bins please though, we have plenty available. :)

  • ahhh summer :D

  • It's always cold and snowy here in Canada on Christmas.

Maybe I should try this out next holiday season.

  • @MrFrozenCanuck Be warned though, that the difference in temperature between Canada and Perth from December-February is huge. I understand that a typical Canadian winter is around 20 below 0 degrees Celsius. An average day around the same time would be 32-35 degrees Celsius. For Christmas Day, it wa 40 this year.

  • vsBoy25, when i was there at that time of yr, it was consistently over the century mark. Hedonistic paradise, i would say about Perth.

  • how do you get a visa is it hard to get i fot you just fone up and get it within 2 weeks is there alot of fucking about involved

  • oh flat day at Scabs, that's rare...lol

  • @Ants45 lol is that sarcasm.. barly ever surf in perth :P

  • for xmas its always hot as hell here i want to see snow one day.

  • This year I spent my second christmas time in perth... believe me.. best place in the world... I wonna live there.. no more snow for me!! i'm looking for a visa!!!

  • @aerdna1975 hope your visa soon...perth is awesome ;D

  • @aerdna1975 Depending on what your skills are, it's a fairly easy process. The Australian Consulate will give you the exact process, but you can either be sponsored by an employer, or make the formal process of applying for a work visa. The only thing you might want to work on, is make sure both your spoken and written English is good.

Another thing you'll notice in Perth, is there's a big Italian and Greek community. If ever you get homesick, just go to Fremantle, Perth's port

  • @vsboy25 unfortunatly i dont think that will ever happen, but i like our 42 degree dayz!!!

  • @ProductionJack Perth is nice but tooo hot for me.

  • @vsboy25 this beach was nice until vsboy25 came and polluted it

  • @vsboy25 I live in canada, the whole snow thing is overrated. I'd love to go one year without shoveling snow or having to spend five minutes putting extra cloths on so I can walk to the store

  • @123456789mischief

We get many Canadian tourists to Australia , you should at least come for a holiday but Canada is a wonderful scenic country an great people.however beware its seriously hot here an we have fly’s everywhere here.

  • I loved Perth beach...the oceans so crystal clear & the sand is sooooo white & you can go out quite far before it gets deep. (great for the kids) In New Zealand the sand is grey & the sea is dark & murky & has a big drop. & you can collect so many diffenent varieties of sea shells....Awesome!!!!! We felt sad when we had to leave & go home.

  • Nice Video

  • those waves are sooo small, you should go up north a bit from perth to ocean reef where the waves are decent

  • @MrExprise or down south to margaret river where the waves are world class :P

ocean reef phht, only deacent break near there is claytons

  • Love Perth, beautiful city and extremely friendly people. One day i will move there and leave this crime ridden dump England behind.

  • same here :)

  • @bwfc4eva86: Where you live must be a shithole if it makes Perth seem like a great place. Ive been to Perth, tho nice beach and sun, is the most boring place ive been to with boring racist people.

  • i used to live in perth till a month and a half ago when i moved to the isle of man in england so sad i cant beleive how lucky i was till i left

  • Perth is the best place in the world!!! Im so lucky to live here. I wouldnt want to live anywhere else!!!

  • I really want to move to Perth Ocean Reef

i live in the uk its an absolute shithole!

  • I want to live in Ocean Reef too. And i'm from Perth

  • I dream about it! lol just dont have the money ya know

  • @ekilpatrick0: Then fuck off you prick!

  • Wot the hells ur problem i wasnt even talking to you!!

  • @eKilpatrick0: if you think the uk is a shithole then do what the Australians and Americans say "love it or leave it".

  • Ahhh il b leavin al right! With pleasure!

  • this guy is obviously not a local.

    love the music....good choice !

  • i live in perth :)

  • You're lucky!! One of the best city in the world!!! I'll be back in Perth on november, 11. 2nd time in my life... so good

  • Perth is such a great place! I loved the beach there!

  • Perth is the most awesome city of Australia.

  • Christmas Day, huh? Reminds me of the only Tropical Christmas I ever had: in Cuba 1994! I'm hoping a Christmas in Perth or Brisbane will be next.

  • cool. I have friend in Perth :D

  • cottesloe main beach is a lovely spot.

i love cott and i love iggy pop!

  • Passenger by Iggy Pop

  • thanks

  • what is the name of this song?

  • i cry when i look at this. i love perth beaches and I LOVE PERTH :( i want to go home

  • Anyone know what beach it is?

Looks like Scarborough to me, or Trigg.

  • i dn't think it's scarborough... i mean it looks a lot like scarbs but december 2007...wasn't that massive concrete thingy already built there by then? they wrecked scarbs, it was so beautiful when it was just natural. why do we humans feel the need to industrialize everything

  • Thats true.

Yeah, we pretty much ruin everything naturally beautiful, I really worry about up north, yaknow Exmouth, Coral Bay, Ningaloo,

I reckon sooner or later they will ruin up there too.

  • Im going to aus for new year, and scarborough beach is right down the road from where im gonna be living! Also going to rottnest, whats that like?

  • You'll love it.... Scarborough beach is nice... but make sure you get to Cottesloe Beach as well.

  • Jan/feb are the hottest months,so expect 30-40c temps.

Get out of the city and head south when the heat gets too much.

The southern beaches have great surf

  • The hottest time of the day is between 12:00pm and 3:00pm too, no matter where in the world you are. Enjoy the sun mate, it's all the sun you are going to get in perth for the next nine months.

  • i have been to rottnest twice,,,it is well worth visiting,,,beutiful beaches,,i reccomend staying over for the night,,that way you can explore the island,,and at the night ,,u can go for a drink or two,,,i myself am going back in february.

  • Rotto is not your typical tropical island so it is an acquired taste...far more laid back and casual...nothing pretentious there, just lovely and relaxed. Take a bike and a snorkel.

  • @berich01

    rottnest is GOOOOOORGEOUS!!!!

  • Amazing what we take for granted, I grew up a few minutes from Mullaloo Beach and only truly appreciated Perth beaches when I moved to Melbourne.

I still do try to get down to Mulla's beach on Xmas day when I'm visiting the folks :-)

Nice vid, and that song's definitely Iggy Pop :-)

  • Omg! I also grew up a few minutes from Mullaloo! It was the best beach ever.. best neighbourhood. Walking distance from my house

  • Hi from Malta , Perth is the greatest place in the world , i was privilaged to live there a long time ago . God bless

  • Ohh another thing is the water here warm or cold?

  • er fuckin cold but if ur from england ull think its warm

  • Yea lol the im on the north sea at the moment and the only sea life in there is peoples shit

  • the song? title

  • The passengers - iggy pop

  • You guys sure have a beautiful country. I been checking out perth australia on google earth I love some of the photos of the beaches and how many different shades of blue the ocean can get. I sure love to visit australia one day before I die.

  • yeh its really awesome i live in perth but stay away from the beaches this time of year there have been a lot of shark attacks

  • Australia is awesome

  • Only been in Sidney for five days on my way home from NZ. Besides the beaches I was most impresed of the aussies. Great people and no worries. I´m tired of the polarbeers in sweden. Longing for au. Pros and cons about East/west au?

  • Husseochdoggen:

Swedish people are cool too you know. Winters are a bit long and drag on a bit though. Too bad you didn't get to Melbourne, it feels more "Australian" because it's not as "international" as Sydney. More like a bigger Göteborg with trams, music and ta det lugnt vibe.

  • There is pretty much one main difference between east and west Australia.

East: Big cities, shopping, bustling, huge population.

West: Quieter, beautiful, chilled, more scenic, nicer beaches.

  • I Love Australia

  • body surfing....it's whole load of fun. I LOVE perth and am so glad I call it home.

  • whats the name of the song ?

  • i wish i lived here!

  • Whats stopping you

  • im 15 lol:(

  • Isn´t it a brazilian music?

  • Yeah I have the same doubt. you're right!

    Capital Inicial - Passageiro

I don't know but if Capital Inical made a version of this song in portuguese or this music is a english version of Capital Inicial song... so weird oO

  • i heard this song on a Matt hoffmans game its called the passenger, its also the saem riff as Download this song by mc lars

  • i want to die......... why wont i die

  • can we have a shag b4 u die ?

  • bello

  • looks like a great clean beach. Can't wait to swim there some day. What is the song you've used in this vid?

  • As far as city beaches go, Perth has have the best ever! Big, clean, white, amazing water colour, the lot. Nice vid. Happy Christmas and New Year from another Pethite!

  • trigg beach rocks but the best are down south
