  • i dont think they could run any more jesus christ.

  • Putting the met in the met has a reason behind it, its from to back sound alignment, if you put it at the front then the entire band/corp is playing to the visitor side.

  • amazing line, especially loving the bass book

  • They're hauling ass pretty much the whole show lol

  • @tommy2122108 you should have seen the drill we had for the opener during move-in... I wanted to shoot myself in the face! =o)

  • @maxdci Haha well it was all worth it champ!

  • lotta guys out of time with marching but DAMN nice basses

  • to maddie66, hi this is joseph, i cannot for the life of me remember the account i signed up with to talk to you, i feel like complete shit and cannot figure out a way to get in contact with you. If you happen to come here again please send me a message. Sorry love

  • Is it bad that I love the way they march?

  • Amazing!

  • it looks like his toe catches his heel on the direction change. doubt his feet got off cause he was overhyping the sticks in lmao

  • does phantom step off with the right?

  • @stickflip723 it could be a flip camera

  • rennick is a drumming god

  • Yeah, it goes in the back because that's normally where the battery is, and they are responsible for keeping the tempo for the entire band. And I'm sure it has something to do with how the sound projects across the field.

  • DIE!!!!!!

  • My Director at my college puts the met in the front and it bothers us so much. We all tell him it goes in the back, but he just says this isn't DCI so we don't have to do that.

  • @JustaMSdude

It's not just DCI. It's anyone who knows that tempo comes from the back of the field (everyone who knows how to count and read). Every HS university and corps that I have EVER come across buts the met in the back of the field. Your director needs a clue.

  • @cmcnosky He definitely needs a clue. Just one more year there, and then I'll be at Mississippi State working with Dr. Baker. He knows what he is doing

  • @cmcnosky yyyyyep! I was a percussion tech at a high school very several years (to help pay my way through college) and the director insisted the met should be in the front. Not only does it not work but it's a little too much for the front ensemble, meaning it's just so loud that it hurts, plus the pit can't hear and practice good tone quality if the met is covering it all up. I dunno...i still have yet to figure it out. =)

  • @JustaMSdude its cuz most band directors r stupid. they have a music degree but they know nothing about the marching activity.

  • @JustaMSdude your director needs his ass to get fired and sent to college for like 8 more years.

  • @JustaMSdude Your director needs a quick physics lesson on speed of sound and how it relates to the marching arts. it's quite simple...if you're willing to think a little bit.

  • @JustaMSdude well your director is a cock then for not knowing .he needs a slap .

  • @JustaMSdude Yeahh... You're director is stupid. You NEVER listen to the front. You always listen back. Your time always comes from the back.

  • 1:15- 1:34 i was like, "Yeah do basses!" Crazy sets...

    4:07 nice rrrrrrolllll!

I just hate how u can hear the doctor beat and the pit seems off because of where the line is on the field. that is the only thing i hate about drum corps, the sound delay...

  • @dlinekidd93 Yeah, but at least it sounds sweet when you're in the audience haha.

  • @dlinekidd93 That will happen anywhere, not just corps...it's simply because of where the camera is placed. you'll notice when the camera is in front of the pit during the ballad everything's in sync. That's why it's important for the battery to watch the drum major and not listen forward to the pit, because only then will that "delay" be apparent to the audience

  • haaa I didn't know they yelled "diiiieeee!!" that's great

  • If this wasn't the hardest working/moving drumline that year, then I don't know who was!!! I gotta believe those kids lost 5 pounds a night doing that show.

  • Does phantom start with there right or left foot? So it would be right foot on the odd and left foot on even?

  • the only corps that starts off the right foot is the cadets.

  • The down beat is on their left foot. So they step off with the left. The Cadets are the only corps to step off with their right foot.

  • oddest tick ever by the center at 3:13, i didn't know it was possible to overhype a sticks in, but nice recovery

  • Hahahahaha I don't think he overhyped the sticks in, I think he just lost his footing a bit.

  • @charliegfrenz it's because he tripped on himself

  • @Cacashrefund oy, this has been est. sense last summer. lol. he triped on his foot. tyhere like a month long discussion on it. look at past comments my friend.

  • @charliegfrenz naw he almost tripped, watch his feet, what happened in his hands was just a reaction

  • @charliegfrenz he diddnt overhype he tripped check out his feet he messed up the direction change

  • @charliegfrenz

I think he stumbled for a sec. Might not have been sticks in over hype.

  • @charliegfrenz that wasnt an over hype...hahaha he almost ate dirt but he made a good recovery

  • @charliegfrenz I think it was because he tripped

  • gah! damn you ballad! the bain of every drumlines existence!

  • 2:38 = Hardcore pwnage

  • damn that echo is a bitch lol.

  • not as bad as some. lol were my line practices. oy shit. 8's sount like 16ths in the distance w/ the echo

  • Yeah that echo is Terrible

  • sick bass runs

  • 445 was soooo clean and sweet.

  • I remember when everyone said BD sucked because they got a 5th place drumline.

  • Cause people love to hate BD.

  • are they just jealous?

  • It's just the whole "It's lonely at the top" thing.

  • random snare @ 5:45 ?

  • god. now only if SoCal trafic moved like them. lolz oh i see it!

  • oh and i do not see center snare trip at all.........

  • 3: 14 he trips on his foot in the crossover. But they are still the best corps out there.

  • as well with a handheld camera, sounds, expecially music never line up as they should, but its also cause batery is 4 yards away and pit is abouy 25yds away. there are very few parts lined up in this recording.

  • Nice shorts Kevin!

  • Awsome man. u still march PR? i dont know anybody from a world class corps..... but i do know people from VK and Impulse. :D i plan on joing VK next summer. then adition for cavies. or PR for Rack. a lil stupid cause i live in Cali with a small amount of the best Corps. Idk if this is rude but how much does a season w/ phantom cost?

  • Wow, this vid really shows how hard it is to line up the battery and front ensemble :o

  • Actually they are lined up, but the sound from the pitt has to be behind the battery's tempo or else it won't be in time. Confusing physics stuff

  • I barely notice the center snare tripping at 3:13

  • 2:43 gives me chills every time

  • wonder who missed the shorts memo in the basses

  • HAHA

  • Do they start with their right foot?

  • They clearly do not. lol

  • nope

  • What did they say?

  • DIE!!!

  • hahaha at 3:13 the center snare trips.

  • damn he did but he got back in quick as hell

  • fucking sick ass basses :)
