I have installed solid timber flooring using direct stick method onto concrete for over 6 years now using a moisture barrier before installing and never had any boards cup or move.
Same here, I have been glueing down every sort of hardwood on concrete for many years and on top of that I have given warrenties on my work. I have never had a call due to buckling.
not according to the National Wood Flooring Association. if you glue long length solid to concrete and it cups you will have a lawsuit that will take your house away from you if you are a licensed installer.
woodfloorguru - True solid wood floor should not be installed over concrete/we are talking about below grade aren't we? I would think you would still have to create a barrier to keep the moisture down and use an adhesive like bostik best to glue the floor down.Your engineered floor can delaminate but does seem to be a better choice over concrete..Pergo is also an option, although personally I don't like the product

ah, ok, moisture is the word i did not understad xD. Its ok. But I think that if the slab is not touching the land there is not problem.

I dont understand, ¿ is the problem the deformation of slab or what ? And what do you need to use it with concrete.
