Never understood why people clown this band so much. Yes they're a Zep rip-off to a certain extent but they've been around long enough to be respected as a premire rock band, which they are in my book. They've always been a band in turmoil line-up wise but they've had some sweet musicians in the fold over the years (i.e. Steve Vai). Saw them on the 'slip of the tonue' tour w/ S. Vai and they were incredible. Long live Whitesnake!! Check out 'fool for your lovin' also!!

Listen to Whitesnake pre 1987, nothing like Zeppelin, if you had to compare them then, to anyone, it would be Bad Company..only 10 times better.

I agree, even post 87 I still dont think they resemble Zeppelin. They share similarities to other bands of the same genre ie Def Leppard or Bon Jovi but are unique in their own right. I had the priveledge of catching them live supporting Def Leppard and in my opinion Whitesnake were the better band.

I agree too, David Coverdale shares the odd vocal mannerism with Robert Plant, but their overall styles are vastly different. Judgement Day

on Slip of the Tongue did sound like Kashmir though,but that's the only Whitesnake song that particularly sounds like Led Zep to me.
