Mw2 isn't as great as everyone made it out to be... I'd still rather play Halo 3. Modern warfare isn't for " gamers " it's for people who get on the xbox like once a month to play online, while uncharted has more value than just multiplayer.

...But they fail to realise that MW2 outsold Uncharted 2 by miles, and they still looked past it... Im sorry but best shooter of the year doesn't cut it for MW2. Who the F*CK makes these descisions for Game of the year? Because He/She needs to realise tht MW2 looked better than ANY game this year. 2009 VGAs were a BIG dissapointment this year...

Man, if you got Modern Warfare 2 for Xbox, and you just now go online with it, your score would be in the 6 MILLIONS, but for Uncharted 2, the total players in the setlists is less than 9,000. It doesn't take Rocket Science to figure out which one was the major seller. And look at the facts, Uncharted 2 didn't have Keith David or ANY celebrities at all, MW2 had an all-star cast with a titan-like reputation. The only thing that helped it along was the good story line, apart from its multiplayr.

no way dude uncharted is so much better.the writing, the voice/mocap acting, the emotional depth of the characters and the flow are superior to any other game ever made in my opinion and thats not counting the solid gameplay or the amazing graphics!its truly a masterpiece.

Jack Black is NOT funny. Every time he is nominated for an award an wins one, he always manages to make an ass of himself, and in my view it gets worse every year. Maybe he was just brought up that way or was born like that.

Uncharted 2 earned it hands down. Modern warfare 2 was best shooter. It beat Halo 3 ODST.  Street Fighter IV beat Tekken 6.Basic Street Fighter IV not Super Street Fighter IV basic Street Fighter IV beat Tekken 6. Overall I am happy with the results.
