I just came across this show today, through the song Everybody Loves a Dream, so I don't know what it's about, but it has the feel of pageants to me. We had the pleasure of meeting the girls, the moms, and Abby a few weeks ago. My daughter twirls and we went to a dance/twirl competition in Clute, TX. I checked the schedule the night before we left and saw Abby Lee Dance Co on the schedule. We were super excited! They were very down to earth and we got lots of pictures and autographs. Abby is a hoot and it makes us eager to watch Season 2 next month.

Chloe has the BEST technique. Maddie is just a MUCH better performer which makes her seem better. Chloe beats Maddie a lot. If youve seen them at competitions you'll know that mostly maddie won at first but then Chloe got really good and stole her spotlight (around the time of the show starting) as soon as that happened her choreography got worse, boring, basic, and Maddie got the best choreo so she could reclaim her spotlight for the show...

Chloe & Brooke are destined for great things whereas Maddie will blow a gasket the minute flAbby finds another fave. Maddie HAS to be the center of attention & when that doesn't go her way, she'll pull out of dance & become an emo/goth cutter that writes bad poetry. Mark my words.

@kerry5101971 That's a horrible thing to say bout an 8 yr old, the parents acts worse than kids. She gets attention because she is the best. And Brooke doesn't even want to dance she has no drive. The reason why Maddie is good is because she wants it and practices without complaining to go home early. I never saw one episode where Maddie was a sore loser a, even when she doesn't win , she doesn't blame other people. Like Chloe and her mother. Hard and determination gets you noticed.

Saw tonights show...very sad the interaction between adults and in front of the kids,,,very unprofessional....I know why Chloe freezes. been there sometimes the people you want approval most from is not your parents but your coach and when you feel she has no beleif...or a negative emotion can leave lasting impressions. I believe there is favoritism, costumes, teaching lets face it coaches make and break people, build and wear down even young people.
