Another note: I have seen runs on the Japanese version of this game completed within six minutes of actual gameplay on Easy difficulty. That is probably the fastest time attainable by anyone. In terms of entertainment, this one is by far the best - even better than the ones HarmfulGravemind did.

This isn't all that hard to do. Link, fox, samus, and the mario twins can be beaten MUCH faster than here. Sprint to the edge, wait for enemy to follow (they sprint on occasion, with tools you could make sure they sprint everytime.) Grab them, toss backwards over edge, jump over them, down + a. KO ~3 sec.
