@14sJakeB190 I guess the Germans in the tunnel realise that rather than to fight the Soviets, they has to work together with them to save the civilians ans wounded trapped in the tunnel - they were not the SS but army regular, not really Nazis.

The Soviets had to help the Germans so that after the war, the Germans would become friendly with them and that lead to recreation of East Germany later.

As for Golodomor. Everyone suffered from it. It didnt happen specificaly because of trade politices - thats just western propaganda and twisting of facts. Golodomor happened all over the world because of high drought. Russians, Belorusians, Kazahs, everyone were dying because whole harvests were lost to droughts. Well, I am VERY familar with Western views of Soviet people and Soviet Red Army and Stalin. Doesnt mean that they are 100% true or accurate. But if we simply look at the numbers and facts. Germans killed about 23 million Soviet people out of which about 8 millions are soldiers and about 15 millions civilians and non-combatants. German loses were much lower, around 6 millions soldiers and only like 2 million civilians. So this clearly shows who were "MORE" murderous. Cheers.

Germans did not kill 23 million Soviet people but the circumstances of the war led to the death of most of them. People starved or frozen to death in the areas hit by the war maschine which with its ongoing got more and more brutal.

fight in berlin was more or less an infantry fight with the soviets trying their best not to loose too many men in the last hours of the fight. this movie is by itself much more realistic anything hollywood came up with its john wayne movies.

door to door fighting did happen but with direct fire support from even smaller cailbre obsolete AT guns were used extensively by teh field commanders to reduce casualty which was something that was rare in the past for them. in Berlin soviet field commnders expressly let their soldiers use SU 76 and other AT field guns to fire at the defenders in the buildings instead of charging the building with life consuming infantry or get into extensive time consuming small arms fire fight.
