  • Marvin hatley wasent within a mile of the place.

  • WELL IS IT Marvin Hatley? I would love to ind a compilation of the songs that you hear in the background of Laurel & Hardy movies. Great jazz and vaudeville style ragtime.

  • If this is indeed Marvin Hatley, then everyone should know that he wrote the theme music for Laurel & Hardy -- dance of the cuckoos.

Wonder when this was recorded. I may be wrong, but I think the Troupers Club on La Brea is long gone. Very valuable real estate on La Brea -- this historic building probably has been replaced by a Taco Bell.

Trouper's Hall was home to early Hollywood. These people were so accomplished it was stunning.

He walked in on our student film shoot and started playing. It was such good music,

we were so "out of our league," Margaret and Arica started dancing in a tribute to the moment.

We didn't know what else to give him. We still don't, if you look at La Brea Ave now.

The last picture, with his companion holding the old poster, always seemed like a painting.

I hope he knew we loved him.
