  • Sounds AWESOME!! does it have a muffler and is your downpipe 5" too??

  • beautiful truck.

  • no smoke?

  • What brand of rims r those?

  • Nice, put a smarty on her..lol

  • how big is the tip?

  • @crazyp2jimmy my hearin aint off it sounds like a damn fartcan off a ricer

  • sounds like you put a damn fart can on it, hellofa truck i like dodge but thisone sounds a lil' off

  • @THENCSASQUATCH Your hearing must be a 'lil' off.....

  • beautiful sound haha

  • awesome truck. sounds great. just a question did you keep the muffler that it came with on or did you take it off? thanks

  • I need fellow youtubers help. I want to get a MBRP 4 inch exhaust and a banks 4 inch power elbow. The elbow comes off the turbo where the MBRP would bolt up to, I want the elbow bacause instead of using the 3 to 4 inch down pipe from MBRP, I want a full 4 inch exhaust from the turbo back. In theory, less back pressure ect. please help people!!!

  • Sounds sweet!

  • sounds sweet. i just bought one the same model, have u had any kind of problems out of yours?

  • Where you from in TN?

  • cummings always sounded better to me.

  • did you see any improvements in your fuel mileage after installing the exhaust

  • that truck is fucking GORGEOUS!

  • hey, awesome truck. ive seen a pic of it before somewhere. absolutely mint and lookin great. keep up the good work!

  • so whats up with the strting smoke? u dont have a chip?

  • did you use the muffler delete pipe or is this with it still in

  • I have the 6 speed

  • nice truck!! sounds awsome too!!

  • Hey sounds good now you need to make that silencer ring go MIA! ha

  • auto truck if iv ever heard one... niceee truck

  • awesome

  • Just love this one! Want my car to sound like this to! ;)

  • hey. i have that truck

  • wow I love that whistle... :)

  • the 5.9 Cummins and the 7.3 Power Stroke sound the best

  • @mk37mgteboy Thank you! Hands down the 5.9 is the best sounding diesel in consumer trucks. I love the engine noise from the 7.3, so loud and raw! So industrial sounding lol. Love it. All other diesel V8's just sound like choked gas motors.

  • where did you get the chrome strip on the bottom of the body?

  • the older 12 valves can be made to put out tremendous numbers. the 24 valve is just the 12 valve with a different head and fuel system and is equiped with electronics

  • nice truck none the less and idk who was on here givin thumbs down but shame on them nice truck btw very good sound and bein a 99 id be careful with that edge i have seen a couple vp44 trucks that were ran with that sucker turned up and when the lift pump got weak it killed the vp44 just a word of warning from a Cummins techuse it wisely and keep an eye on lift pump pressure other than that have fun and enjoy that beast

  • Thanks! I've taken care of the lift pump problem with a FASS fuel system. Still keep an eye on the pressures just to be safe but the FASS has really helped out.

  • yea not everbody thinks about that and i didnt remeber seein anything about it so i thought id pass along the info i believe these monsters should be enjoyed as they were meant to be but as with most things that can be modified not everyone goes about it the right way my dream is to own or co own a shop that teaches diesel perfomance sells and maintains the diesels we serviceany moron can put a chip in a truck but it take knowledge to build a performance diesel

  • I've had a good guy to go to as far as advice on these things. He just happens to run the first ever diesel powered race monster truck. Check out some of my favorited videos on here of my "work truck" its a 2000hp blown alcohol hemi powered monster. I've gotten to know the driver of the diesel truck very well and he's helped me out quite a bit when it comes to this stuff.

  • hell yea man im glad u had good advice most of the nay sayers is due to poor advice ur people who thought they knew and ill look into that im just glad to hear u made ur desions and made the right upgrades wish u luck on ur truck i know u have good folks at ur back i just hate to see folks jump off the deep end with em it costs alot of money to repair and replace parts on these trucks

  • @PredatorLK My ass smoke's more than that after a mexican dinner! I'm just fuckin with ya. That is a nice sounding truck. Look's good too for it's year. I see a few dodge owner's around here that don't take care of there rig. Rust along the bottom of the body and such. Such a shame. Did you straight pipe it, or is there a high flow muffler on?

  • @CSXtrackworker When this video was taken there was no chip or anything on the motor, it was bone stock. So that's why it did not smoke at all.

Thanks for the comment on how the truck looks. I try to keep all of my stuff clean. I take a lot of pride in it and work my tail off for everything I've got so I take care of it.

And in this video it has the 5" MBRP exhaust system with their muffler on it.

  • @PredatorLK Yeah, you can definately tell who take's care of there truck's. I would definately take pride in this truck if I owned it. Whether a truck smoke's or not mean's nothing to me. I'd rather hear the exhaust bark a mean chant. This truck definately does that!

  • @jonesd5o I just bought a 2000 Cummins, I want to get a programmer for it. What would you recommend and if all possible I would like to stay away from having to get bigger injectors. Im also worried about lift pump or Injection pump problems with a boost mod

  • @BowHunterAz08 well there where a couple years of the vp44 trucks that they dont make a programmer for cant remember of the top of my head but i have heard good things about mads smarty's programmers i wouldnt be worried about the injection pump with a boost mod cause its not really gonna make the injection pump work much harder except at lower engine speeds if using a boost fooler lift pump issues on vp44 trucks are a concern i recomend a gauge that reads from at least 0-15 psi

  • Hey Man, beautiful truck Ive got a 99 too. Im thinking of going to the 5 inch from the factory 3. Did you lose any low end torque or performance? Watd it feel like after the mod? Not sure if I should do 5 or 4 inches.

  • I actually picked up power (proved on the dyno) when going to the 5" system.

  • i just bought a 99 dodge cummins with a 4" MBRP on it. it has 88,102 miles and it is a 5 speed stick shift.

  • how much?

  • i got it for 11,000

  • thats a hell of a deal

  • Whats the cost of the exaust systym

  • doas this exhaust have the muffler or is it a strate pipe

  • This exhaust has the 5 inch MBRP muffler on it. I used to have the stock 3" exhaust system straight piped and in my opinion it sounds MUCH better with the 5" system with the muffler. A much deeper tone than the 3" straight pipe but its still plenty loud.

  • Of course it isn't straight piped.. Did you listen?.. Or see any smoke lol..

  • where did you buy your upgrades

  • I've bought all of the upgrades at all kinds of different places. Done all the work on the truck myself though.

  • is that a stick shift or an automatic and by the way nice truck my uncle has the same model with a six speed in it

  • Well thanks! My truck is an automatic.

  • sorry meant 5 speed they dont offer a six speed tranny

  • bullshit theres a six speed they are rare but definently had six speed

  • @LUGGNUT12345 The HO models had a six speed in 01 and 02 so not to rare

  • wow my 6.7l smokes more and all i did was un pluged the dpf

    btw the is nice

  • Thnks! The truck was pretty much stock motor wise when I took this other than the exhaust. I've since added an Edge Juice with Attitude and some other stuff to turn it up a bit.

  • Clean 2nd Gen bro!

  • Thanks

  • Does it have the muffler on it

  • Yes, it does have the 5" MBRP muffler on it.

  • how many miles does it have and have u been having alot of problems wit it

  • It has just over 186,000 miles on it. Haven't really had any problems with it yet other than normal maintence things. Just put a set of brakes on it and of course with these trucks once you start making some power the stock torque convertor won't like it. But other than that I've had good luck with the truck.

  • nice! i have a 01 just identical to this except i have the dual 4in to 5in tips.

  • Nice sound. My sisters husband dodge has a 4" exhaust with a glasspack and that thing get loud when you get on it. His truck has 100hp injectors and a chip. His stock automatic is already slipping and is running on stock turbo. Makes lots of smoke though :)

  • thats sick now put a banks six gun power system and you will be ready for the races

  • Sweet! Does this have the 53 block? If so, has it cracked? Thanks

  • how do find out if it has the 53 block?

  • Well on the block, there is a big '53' stamped into it. I guess you look on the block close to where it meets up with the oil pan under the injection pump.. If you go to google and type in ''53 block FAQ and Info'' there is a great web site that shows details on the block and how to find out if you have it.. They can explain it much better than I can lol.. It should be the first website, 'stamey' something or other. Hope this helped

  • thanks i appreciate it

  • Yeah, its got the 53 block. Didn't know anything about it until after I bought the truck. Haven't had any problems with it though and hopefully I won't.

  • MPG?

  • Around 19 or so around town and I've gotten around 22 doing highway only. The thing that is hurting me the most on MPG's is the tires being just at 35" tall with a 3.54 gear. Planning on dropping down to at least a 4.10 if not more. 4.56's would give plenty of power but maybe a bit low for highway cruising. They make a 4.32 and I'm thinking of going to that to be in between the two.

  • That is one Hell of a beautiful truck!!!

  • Thanks!

  • i love the truck and ur MBRP exhaust sounds great

  • i love that sound

  • nice exhaust, cummins always sound great

  • the chrome trim going around it looks great man wow

  • nice crank up

  • a Quadzilla Adrenaline tuner would go great with those mods

  • I have an Edge Juice with Attitude on the truck now and have been VERY happy with it so far. FASS fuel pump and transmission upgrades to come next.

  • An Airdog 150 gph fuel system with goerend torque converter would be good mods

  • lift and tire size?

  • 2" lift and 315/75/R16 BFG All Terrain tires (basically 35" tires)

  • nice turbo whistle off her

  • loose the muffler. sick truck guy.

  • I actually think it sounds better with the muffler on it. I had it straight piped with the stock exhaust and it has a lower tone with the muffler. And it is still plenty loud.

  • so does it have a 4" downpipe or 5"?

  • 4" downpipe and the right to 5" after it

  • dont think they make 5" downpipes till the commonrail wont fit without some cutting n modifications

  • That's right, its a 4" downpipe and as soon as it turns straight under the truck it goes right to 5"

  • That truck is a clean burner, no smoke at all. I'm lookin at buying this old man's 98.5 4wd quad cab longbed cummins with 116k miles. Sweet truck and sounds good too

  • do it!

  • Yeah, video was taken when I had no chip on it. After I took this video I've put an Edge Juice with Attitude on the truck. It can blow smoke if you set it to on the bottom end or you can adjust it down on the bottom end to cut down on the smoke. Really happy with the chip so far. Plus, I've picked up mileage too!

  • holy shit your telling me this isnt straight pipe? lol

  • Nope, its got a muffler on it that came with the MBRP kit. I think it actually sounds better than when I had it straight piped with the stock 3" exhaust.

  • 5" mbrp with a muffler. Nice deep tone to it.

  • Is this with a muffler

  • Yes, it has the 5" MBRP muffler that comes with the system on it.

  • How loud is it in the cab, windows up, cruising?

  • It isn't too bad in the cab actually. I had a 3" straight pipe on it before this and its a lot better sounding in the cab than the straight pipe ever was.

  • nice truck and nice tires I have same too in my explorer and blazer k5
