Bread Pudding

Made this last night, after all. It was very delicious! I made a couple variations such as adding cinnamon and adding a little less egg and everyone loved it.

I'm so glad I found this recipe, thank you! It's so simple! The last bread pudding I made was pretty egg-y and tasted nothing like the pudding my brother would rarely make. Now I need to choose to make either this or rice pudding today...

I haven't had bread pudding in forever. My grandmother made it, my mother made it, and this looks like an old traditional recipe that could stir some nostalgia.

I have made bread pudding lots of times but not this way so i will give it a go....i usually add sultanas too

One of my fav desserts! I make it a bit differently and add cinnamon and a bit of nutmeg. Oh boy, that is good. I love making it with leftover Italian bread!

Yummy! This is also something my nana used to make for me. It is a wonderful comfort food. I do not make it because I am the only one that likes it. I would end up eating the whole thing, lol. Have a great weekend.

@hippygram Yeah, that's the hard part. Luckily this is only an 8 x 8 pan, so it's not like there is a whole lot to waste if you do throw any out

Hmmm, interesting. I've never eaten it, much less made it. Next time it's cold, I'll try it. Simple food can often be really good and as you say, comforting! :) .
