I'm from germany and I didn't know there are so many reasons to learn my language for people from other nations... Your reasons let me be a proud of what became out of my country after World War 2..
Great great points!! point 6 is pretty good! if the world would speak German their know why we are so proud of the History.. the fact is not 1930-1945! its waaaay B.C.!
Thx for the warm words! and to your husband: Veile Grüße aus dem schönen Köln!
Thank you, Mrs Arnold. You did a wonderful job here promoting our language and culture. It's rare to see that people consider other things than bavaria and what's known from their culture.
Thank you for bringing your american friends one step nearer to the german language. Bu you know what? They dont even have to learn this language, because ist very very hard i think, it would be enough if you would just stop thinking that we are fat sausage eating, beer drinking nazis, because its just not right. It would be enough if your children would learn more about european geographics!
OMG!! Thank you so much!! Danke ! I hope many people will now learn that not all germans are bad and nazis !! Thank you again!! have a nice day and alles gute ;)
there is just a small thing... the ad-tune in the back is a little too loud... had a hard time to hear what you are saying. but anyway, great vid, great message. thanks alot from saarland/germany
Sadly people often go by stereo types and not even try to find out about the reallity. So I really appreciate that you are promoting the german lenguage, country and culture in such a fine way.
@TinoTheTurner it's true that german has little roman rudes, but the basics of english are germanic. Examples: to have -> haben; to do -> tuen; I was -> Ich war; du hast -> thou hast (veraltet) etc.
The "roman rudes" of english where brought to England much later by the italians and french (there was a time when high society in England actually spoke french). This is why the relationship between English and German are not that easy to see anymore. greets also from Germany
@HipHopKiller94 So i` am an German and yu have ride: What is ithis "german" an where i can buy it.(Sorry but I haven`t s speack Englich for almost 4 jears)
Thank you for promoting my mother tongue. There is just one thing you said that I disagree with: #7. German, in my opinion as a native, is hard to learn for many people, as we have a rather difficult grammar, that doesn't always work logically. For example the article "the". In German we have three of them, masculin, feminin and neutral. The door, which one would expect to use the neutral article, is "die Tür", "die" being the feminin article. The table is masculin and the girl even neutral.
Wonderful reasons :) I'm starting to learn German and i know very little right now. It's a wonderful language. So, I've decided to make it my 2nd language :)
If speak English and wish to work in/with the EU, German is the language of choice.
If speak English and wish to work in/with Africa, French would be a great place to start.
If you speak English, and wish to work in/with Asia, congrats, you speak the lingua franca of the region. Get a 6-sided dice, roll the dice. If 1-2, learn Korean; 3-4, learn Japanese; 5, learn Chinese; 6, roll again.
If you are looking to speak a second language that is used throughout the world and is inter operable with other languages, learn Spanish. (South America-sans barzil, Central America, Spain, Tagalog, Etc.)
German is far from the 3rd most taught. There are less than 90million who speak it as a second language. George H. J. Weber's report on the number of secondary speakers of German ranks it 9th, at 90million.
Don't misunderstand me, German rocks! Facts are a little off though.
Thank you very much, lady. With your help and effort, stupid german clichés (like the bavarian-cliché) are going to die. You did a great favor to the german culture and me and my fellow citizens are always proud to welcome such a wise and open hearted person, like you are. Live long and healthy!
