  • I'm from germany and I didn't know there are so many reasons to learn my language for people from other nations... Your reasons let me be a proud of what became out of my country after World War 2..

  • that lady ist damn fucking right! love it! german rocks! thx!

  • Great great points!! point 6 is pretty good! if the world would speak German their know why we are so proud of the History.. the fact is not 1930-1945! its waaaay B.C.!

Thx for the warm words! and to your husband: Veile Grüße aus dem schönen Köln!

  • cooles video. lustige musik. =D

  • Thank you, Mrs Arnold. You did a wonderful job here promoting our language and culture. It's rare to see that people consider other things than bavaria and what's known from their culture.

Many thanks and greetings from Germany.

  • i agree with you big mama!

  • Thank you for bringing your american friends one step nearer to the german language. Bu you know what? They dont even have to learn this language, because ist very very hard i think, it would be enough if you would just stop thinking that we are fat sausage eating, beer drinking nazis, because its just not right. It would be enough if your children would learn more about european geographics!

  • English is the most widely spoken language in Europe. More people speak some level of English than they do German.

  • OMG!! Thank you so much!! Danke ! I hope many people will now learn that not all germans are bad and nazis !! Thank you again!! have a nice day and alles gute ;)

  • You forgot: To impress sexy german girls (or guys of corse). ;)

And yes, I am german and have no sense of humor at all.

Nice to see a video like this. No bavarian or Bratwurst (or nazi) clishees shown. Refreshing.

  • there is just a small thing... the ad-tune in the back is a little too loud... had a hard time to hear what you are saying. but anyway, great vid, great message. thanks alot from saarland/germany

  • Thank you for this wonderful video! It's really great to see that people are opening up to the German culture again. My best wishes for you!

  • I just want to thank you for your wonderful words about the german language! Greetings from Germany btw.

  • Sadly people often go by stereo types and not even try to find out about the reallity. So I really appreciate that you are promoting the german lenguage, country and culture in such a fine way.

    Greating from Rostock/Germany

  • @Keyne89 rostock rockt!!!

  • Thank you very much!

I'm agerman and I would give you a big hug for telling so nice things about us instead of the fucking nazi shit!

    U are great!

    Thanks a lot!!!

    xoxoxo

  • Thank you Mrs Arnold. You are awesome :D

  • i think the last reason is the best reason ^^

  • 1. german has no roman rudes, english has... german has germanic rudes.

    2. german is really hard to learn - specially for english native speakers... even most of the germans cant speak german properly :P

    thank you for the video

    greets from germany

  • @TinoTheTurner rudes? meintest du roots?

  • @TinoTheTurner it's true that german has little roman rudes, but the basics of english are germanic. Examples: to have -> haben; to do -> tuen; I was -> Ich war; du hast -> thou hast (veraltet) etc.

The "roman rudes" of english where brought to England much later by the italians and french (there was a time when high society in England actually spoke french). This is why the relationship between English and German are not that easy to see anymore. greets also from Germany

  • @TinoTheTurner what are rudes?!

  • haha weis nicht warum ich das anseh! XD

  • Vielen Dank für Ihren Beitrag. Much appreciated!

The music isn't my favourite (and could have been a bit quieter), doch ansonsten ist Ihre Argumentation durchaus schlüssig.

    Greetz from Germany :o)

  • Was ist dieses "Deutsch" und wo kann man das kaufen?

(translated by Google Translate, so sorry)

  • @HipHopKiller94 did you mean: what is this "german" and where can you buy it?

  • @HipHopKiller94 So i` am an German and yu have ride: What is ithis "german" an where i can buy it.(Sorry but I haven`t s speack Englich for almost 4 jears)

  • @LPFRAEKSD Hi, I'm simply passing on information. Not selling anything here. Thanks for your interest.

  • @HipHopKiller94 it´s grammatical correct :P

  • Nice vid and good facts. But the music is too loud :-(

  • Thank you for promoting my mother tongue. There is just one thing you said that I disagree with: #7. German, in my opinion as a native, is hard to learn for many people, as we have a rather difficult grammar, that doesn't always work logically. For example the article "the". In German we have three of them, masculin, feminin and neutral. The door, which one would expect to use the neutral article, is "die Tür", "die" being the feminin article. The table is masculin and the girl even neutral.

  • Thanks for the advice... I think-

    Ich muss sofort deutsch lernen...

    hey... das ging schnell O_o

    whooooot

  • Von ganzem Herzen möchte ich Ihnen Danken! Es gäbe viele Punkte, welche sich an dieser Stelle aufzählen ließen. Jedem Einzelnen gebührt der Dank!

  • Good to see a video free of outdated stereotypes for once. Greetings from Potsdam, Mrs. Arnold.

  • Tja, früher war es schick französisch zu lernen, heute ist es deutsch ;)

  • Lernt alle Deutsch ! :D

  • ich kann deutsch, weil ich deutsch bin! dies war ein kausalsatz !

  • Angela....you are so welcome to my country....hope you enjoy it

  • I feel like i'm watching public access television... this music is oddly entrancing in weird way

  • Danke Frau Arnold!

  • Wonderful reasons :) I'm starting to learn German and i know very little right now. It's a wonderful language. So, I've decided to make it my 2nd language :)

  • Na klaaa, da liegt se garnicht verkehrt.

  • is she south african?

  • how did i come here ?!?!

    -.-

  • @Pimpmedown

    german is everywhere!

  • Best Way to learn German: Learn german, if you are a Baby.( ich bin auch deutsch) :)

  • If speak English and wish to work in/with the EU, German is the language of choice.

If speak English and wish to work in/with Africa, French would be a great place to start.

If you speak English, and wish to work in/with Asia, congrats, you speak the lingua franca of the region. Get a 6-sided dice, roll the dice. If 1-2, learn Korean; 3-4, learn Japanese; 5, learn Chinese; 6, roll again.

    Chinese isn't important.

  • @madstork91

If you are looking to speak a second language that is used throughout the world and is inter operable with other languages, learn Spanish. (South America-sans barzil, Central America, Spain, Tagalog, Etc.)

German is far from the 3rd most taught. There are less than 90million who speak it as a second language. George H. J. Weber's report on the number of secondary speakers of German ranks it 9th, at 90million.

Don't misunderstand me, German rocks! Facts are a little off though.

  • do you speak german yourself?

  • @Opelarsch no, I don't speak German, but my husband does.

  • @AngelaArnold1 I DO! :D

  • @AngelaArnold1

oh pretty cool I´m also a German and I´ve to say that English is more important than German.

  • @AngelaArnold1 ich kann deutsch sprechen ^^

  • @AngelaArnold1 eh?? So don't you feel a bit silly promoting a language you can't even speak? Isn't that a bit like 'do as I do, not as I say'??

  • @Opelarsch ich spreche deutsch aber ich kommen von England, Hallo und danke fur die schön Sprache. :)

  • Thank you very much, lady. With your help and effort, stupid german clichés (like the bavarian-cliché) are going to die. You did a great favor to the german culture and me and my fellow citizens are always proud to welcome such a wise and open hearted person, like you are. Live long and healthy!

  • @obnoxint Thanks a lot. I'm glad you approve, and thanks for your best wishes.

  • Thank you, Mrs Arnold for promoting the German language.

    Greetings from Germany :-)

  • @Lintflas You're most welcome.

  • Nice reasons!!!

  • Very logical points, ah.....that's one addded advantage of learning German - LOGIC !
