Terrible game. It's just a big PvP attack fest, all you do is run around and die, unless you hide in the middle of no where, but I never could get away.

Would love to play it again but they would have to make an american server witch will never happen.

@ManosNaruto Skyrim a mmo is it? pfft, different games, you shouldn't judge MO from a single player games perspective, you have different graphical limitations on MMO compared to single player games. Also this is done by a small team of friends while Elder Scrolls has a MUCH larger team dedicated to it.
Main idea was from Ultima Online. As a ElderScorll fan I am greatful for this game, it's the closest thing to "Oblivion Online".
Ultima Online got it's ideas (except 3rd player perspective) from the first TES game. TES might have gotten it from an earlier Ultima game, either way MO is and TES share ideas.
You're right though. The MO dev team is armature. I'm curious if they ever got anything besides PvP and FPS combat into the game.... I mean damn, they've had 4 or 5 years to add content and still are tweaking the combat system... get the shit RIGHT and move the fuck on...
I am always a fan of "alternative MMO" how i call them, and Mortal sounded awesome. At my first try, it sucked hard, lots of lags, hard to master, buggy fighting (damn goblins killed me like 4 times in a row)
....supports DX10 aswell.... what does DX10 say about the graphical quality ? - nothing.... - u could use DX7 and make a better looking game.... what counts is the quality of assets.....

You could have lull periods in the game world where only "normal" amounts of monstrous rampaging is going on, and for all those who would like to play

@pyrowithagun First disable your firewall and antivirus programs, could be blocking the patch. And upgrade your video drivers, it may solve the crashes.
@pyrowithagun I would recommend not disabling any firewall or antivirus programs but rather going into your router and port forwarding the required ports. I'm sure there's somewhere in the forums that could give you the ports needed and the game's support staff should certainly be able to tell you.
a game is not about graphics, its about userbility and content, mechanics and how functional things are and how worthwhile things are in the game.. for example guilds.. are they like crappy guilds in wow and lotro or is their more depth to it. and the crafting, is it crappy like wow and lotro or does it have more depth and control to it. many aspects to think about, where most other games fall down.. and this game looks loads better than wow.
This game faces the same problem like many out there -> they rushed too much to make it in the market. This game should have been developed another three or four years before even thinking about to let the others play it.

@tenegon intel g33/g31 chipset (256), means you don't have a video card. Your computer is borrowing processing power from your CPU to display graphics. This game is on the Unreal 3 engine which is only a few years old. I don't think you can run this game.
@AxisXAllies I've read that they've patched it a lot, and every patch seemed to make it worse. Didn't play myself in the release. Played in beta tho, back then it was very buggy.
Right now i'd say it's playable. I made a pvp video, slowed down some parts to see the weird hits and stuff.
If the combat action was better i'd really play it, but right now it still feels like it should be in beta. Shame, it could be an awesome game.

Using the Unreal 3 engine for an MMO is pretty awesome in theory, but I think in practice its just plain overwhelming even for a medium-size development team.
@RazClaw i agree completely, i understand what they are trying to create but i think its too soon maybe in 10 years games like this will be comman but right now not every home has a super computer and great internet connection, so it makes it kinda frustraiting to play, when i played the beta it was just lag i couldnt move 5ft without lagging tremendiously. but i see it runs pretty nice on your computer :P
