I think you are so right on. I have been saying the same forever too. How dare we heap our frailities on God? How dare we make Him in our image? I expressed my opinion, and it went out to every person on the list. The person was mad because I'd publicly rebuked their opinion, but i felt it was a public forum the moment they sent out a mass email. If a person has a fear of that sort of public embarassment, they should learn to bcc their emails.
My co-worker sent me that email about 2 months ago. He always sends out these Christian emails that always says send them to X amount of people. I just hit delete. It's so annoying b/c he sends out 2 or 3 a day. I had to tell him to slow down or stop sending all together.

I agree 100% with what you said on this video. People do tend to give God human characteristics but God by his very definition can not have human characteristics because those characteristics are human flaws so in essence they are saying that God is flawed and sinning just like the humans. That would in itself make God not God anymore. I just dont believe God works that way either.

I think qualities like free-will, love, esteem, reasoning, joy, jealousy, etc in general all souls have, making them more Godly but termed human.

No I haven't read it all yet but I've been tempted too. Maybe after I graduate from school. My father and grandfather were Baptist Pastors so I've heard more than the average person. I was a Jr. Deacon for 3 or 4 months back in the day.

If you hear Christains saying things that are too outrageous and seems unchrist-like chances are the truth can be found. For instance if you hear Christains saying God hates certain people then maybe they just misunderstand the bible. God hates sin not people. If you hear a church saying women should sleep with the Pastor then it is easy to look that up and see it is not the way of the real Christain.
