To answer everyones question, if ur top screen is not on, all white, or some other wierd thing, it's the ribbon cable. Compare it to the bottom screen one that's how far in it should be. That's probably the reason he switched DS's during the vid!

yes there is , the only way to fix it now it to buy a new touch screen film for it. look for one on ebay its around $5 . but you will have totke it apart to do so@WIIstpM2

Hahah if you're too fucking stupid to do this without braking your DS then don't fucking do it. I replaced a lower cracked LCD screen myself ages ago and had no problems. Following this guys guide is probably a bad idea.

Thats how mine broke, i was playing Mysims and I was fishing, and I tapped it to many times in the same spot. :D I'll try this, I got my sisters old ds lite that has a broken hinge and my old (i got a dsi) ds lite that touch screen doesn't work. I was careless and didn't watch the video to the end. Make sure not to fully remove the screen! There is a ribbon cable at the top right side and if you move the screen too much the cable will break! It can't be fixed, a new screen will need to be put in. Fortunately the part is inexpensive (around $5) the procedure to replace the screen looks like it might be hard for some people though.

if nothing works and your warranty is gone, DO NOT buy new nds(l)(i) but just buy new touch screen and see some vids on youtube how to replace it, it'll cost not more then 10 bucks

buy the touch screen and the tri wing screwdriver on e-bay, sit at a clean table with a sheet of paper, make a sketch of the ds showing where each type of screw is for the shell and for the circuit board and jot down the sizes, (there are three types of screw), it is very easy to repair and it will cost you maybe $15 total. there are some detailed instructons on youtube but search for something with pictures online, good luck

uh how would u clean it cause i have to ds i just fixed the sound by myself cause i was bored but now i want to finish the touchscreen it is really bad because a plum or peach i forgot blew up on it so its; gonna be very dry nd hard to get off so yah doesn't matter how u clean it
