Estaba escuchando algunos tracks de "Beyond Sanctorum" y me puse a pensar en como Therion ha ido evolucionando con el tiempo, me sorprende ver la metamorfosis que ha sufrido, pero me es agradable el cambio. Sea el género que haya etiquetado a esta banda en determinada faceta; lo han hecho muy bien. Este nuevo álbum no me convencía demasiado, pero asi es con todas las bandas. Al principio no nos gustan los cambios pero despues terminamos amandolos. Estoy seguro que esta no será la excepción.

Though it seems like people are more focused on the appearance of that woman rather than what she represents from an occult view.

@dadov, Yes indeed. She also sacrifice objects (coins?) and part of her essence to the tree, similar to Odin's sacrifice in Yggdrasil. However, I'm not too surprised. Therion often use this type of symbolism in their music.

I really had a hard time finding this album to my tastes compared to what Therion used to do before Gothic Kabbalah.

And now, I am wondering why I had, because I fully appreciate the album, my favourite song being Hellequin.

this band is more gothic than the others that autolintitulate themselves as gothic, all thje real gothic feeling is here in Therion, not so much in Nightwish and so on

@estrategacreativa Its kabbalistic lore, which means its Jewish ;-) "sitra ahra" is hebrew for "the other side", the corrupt counterpart of all thats "good" (bears some resemblances to yin/yang). AFAIK the Kabbalah refers to gnostic demurs to christian/jewish myths centered around one omniscient and omnipotent god that left the people with several logical paradoxes, like "If God is omnipotent and good, why does evil exist?" The devil (-> 666; greek: to mega therion) is somehow a result of this
