  • no mames we.

  • Isso que é manobra!!!

  • mto show .-.

  • se uma pessoa toca nisso vira carvão

  • wtf was that

  • q loco mano

  • jaja zarpado!!!

  • Like the man says, "WOO!"

  • Se va al carajo eso!

  • si posta que se va al carajo no me gustaria que pase eso cuando juste este caminando por alli y veas ese tremendo arco encima tuyo

  • mierda loco

  • sorcery!!

  • Hmmm shocking video.

  • Now thats what i call a TASER! Haha

  • Wow, very powerfull!

  • That was fuckin' awesome

  • i can do that in after effects! ;P

  • i could watch this on and on :) I don't know why it's so pretty :)

  • i want to touch it

  • More!

  • tesla would be proud

  • wow

  • meh, thats no fun you had Palpatine plugged there

  • My dick does the same thing when I stroke it without using any lube.

  • O_o

  • My computer TV out the day this happened!!!!

  • thats dangerous.

  • that looks awsome

  • cool, i would love to see it in real life or in person so to speak.

  • Resume :A One fase circuit breaker have failed when previously automaticaly or manualy was commanded all the three fase UNDER CHARGE opening. B)After with the propose to isolate the main transformer, by manualy or computer order, just one command ocurred to all three switch but just one was still under charge what caused this arc. Naturaly, was reactive energy from all the transmission and generation system have feed this arc. Error on my ant comment:UNDER CHARGE(EXCLUDE OVER CH)

  • That's the release of energy stored by the highly inductive power lines. We learned about this in my electrical engineering class, but I can't remember what it is called. You really need to have some understanding of AC power to know what's going on here.

It's not arcing caused by large voltages because they forgot to turn off the power. You can't just press a button and magically turn off the power. Somewhere you need to physically have a switch that opens the circuit.

  • This enormous arc ocourred caused by indevid over charge swicht opening. Probrably was inesperated observing that is a one fase arc only.

  • now in english, please

  • Do you have technical Knowledge about it? If yes, i wold like you send me. Take care your words! Next time i can to write In Deutch(Germany)or Portuguese.

  • It dngerous but CooL i think. Yes ?

  • coolest thing i have ever seen!

  • cool nice arcing there, musta been in the megavolts though. and yes its real, when you get about 30,000 volts or more, electricity can arc 5 to 10 metres!

  • i got the exact same video, how come yours hava that many views?

  • cause ur video sucks the big one

  • just because you are gay doesent mean you can ofend people

  • Lots of volts and current = one big spark and arc!!

    watts and more watts

  • omg i love it. reminds me of the monster of the id from forbidden planet.

  • Whoaaaaaa is that real?

  • AWSOMMMME

  • a bit dangerous i think it was, but it looks great.

  • Justo como en las peliculas

  • Holy shit o.o

  • is that real

  • It really hurts to stand between those. Trust me, I've done it.

  • orly

  • YS RLY

  • Yeah, you probably stood between two of those, but with a much lower voltage. That's why only your brain was fried. HA-HA!

  • wow slick

  • woot

  • love the sound this thing makes..

  • wow

  • it's in the nevada desert

  • it's a 500kV switch opening, search for it on google video

  • god damn that's like 3 million volts or something

  • Did anyone notice that 3 phases opened but only 1 arced?

  • Hi mate, I work with 3-phase power but only 415V not these crazy amounts. No matter, the fact that you spotted that this was a 3-phase disconnection and only one arced is fuckin EAGLE-EYE mate, well done!

  • wtf thats kick ass

  • I watched it like 5 times. It's Great :)

  • HA HAHA HAHAHA HAAA!!! He LIVES!! Now walk monster, WALK!

  • Come IGOR!

  • Those air-opening switches are supposed to use a 'puffer box' (containers of the gas sulfur hexafloride) to prevent such arcs. I assume the system failed, hence 1 phase 'opening hot'.

  • It's not that strange - the arc is just pretty big (most times it's MUCH smaller).

Seems like the workers opened the main connection between a transformer station and an overhead powerline. The big metal arms you see moving at the beginning are the contacts (the "switch").

Now you know why mom told you not to play near the powerline. ;)

  • 3d max

  • I want one !

  • YES!

  • BOOOORRIIIIINGG seen better action in my clothes dryer machine.

  • I wear nylon track pants...you should see the static when I take them off in the dark!!!

  • niice ill watch it again

  • We watched this movie last year in my physics class. A comment from another site explained that the reason there is this huge arc is because the workers opened some kind of huge shunt (the swinging arms) and didn't shut the power off. Just a guess from the cobwebs of my memory.

  • looks like Arco Idaho at the INEEL Lab

  • great!

  • how it is created that thing??

  • Wow thats insane. I wonder what it was doing...?

  • what da hell

  • that's cool, but what launage is this?

  • thats some serious current right there

  • Holy hell :O

  • Wow! o_o! Es en una subestación? o alguien hizo una serie de bobinas tesla?

  • wow, pretty cool

  • You have no idea on what voltage and current is required to hold that kind of arch? Big juice! Turn a guy into a crisp in seconds. Check out the guy walking away to get an Idea.

  • That's not supposed to happen!

  • The arc rises because the air directly above it is heated and this makes it an easier path. Just like what happens in a Jacob's ladder.

  • so what

  • THATS AWESOME, HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN!

  • hey hey ho ho cooool

  • big juice dude!

  • What is this???

  • that's not lol that is extrooodinarry

  • Where is this? Argentina?

  • Yeah, great...

  • lol thats pretty sweet

  • That is cool!
