I'd wager that the video was faked. The girl in the video knew way too much about WoW (typing /camp to log out, knowing how to open the character pane, etc) for me to believe that she was someone who truly hated and was jealous of the game. Also, the guy had several level 80s, so he definitely would have known that you could restore characters. There's no doubt in my mind that they faked it for the views.

Before you start judging older gamers - get to know the area first! There are plenty of successful older men who play PC games and such :P

@genwave i think you missed some important points here & i dont think you do see the perspective. Doing that is just wrong doesnt matter if its WoW or not, he paid for the game and pays monthly for it in short its his property. So for his girlfriend to go on to his comp in his house and delete anything thats not her's is just disrespectful & wrong period. Well maybe she actually knows a lot about the game since her boyfriend plays it all the time. Maybe she even play herself (notice that she leaves one character be) but just not so much as her boyfriend.
This could indeed be a fake video, but it's 50/50 chance imo.
If she had tried to reason with him and he wouldn't listen then she should just tell him that if he didn't stop playing so much she would leave him. If he would ignore this warning then she should leave him. And yeah, I play Wow :P

I'd wager that the video was faked. The girl in the video knew way too much about WoW (typing /camp to log out, knowing how to open the character pane, etc) for me to believe that she was someone who truly hated and was jealous of the game. Also, the guy had several level 80s, so he definitely would have known that you could restore characters. There's no doubt in my mind that they faked it for the views.
I agree with everything you said in this video, though.

Problem is that the video could be illegitimate and purposely done just for the sake of YouTube views especially her actually knowing how to delete the characters(granted I know that isn't rocket science but i'm just saying) I even know a person who boughts a PS3 slim and his original PS3 is giving problems and he was planning on doing a comedy parody of his girl deleting his Smackdown vs Raw characters and him freaking out and breaking his already problematic PS3.

Maybe its time for big gaming companies to stop this from happening. For example if a girlfriend wants to erase a game file she then has to type in a secret question for the data to be fully deleated. Or maybe something like that, I have not played WOW ( World Of Warcroft) so i dont really know much about the game but i have heard that it can ruin ur life style.

I read an article somewhere that a mother was chased in her own house by her son holding a knife just because she asked him to stop playing. That was cold. I remember when my brother accidentally deleted my Pokemon Red game. I was pissed. I was missing only one Pokemon and I put in over 120 hours into it. I forgave him because it was an accident, but I don't know what I would do if it was intended. Women, don't ever, EVER delete someone's game file! Especially a game like WoW. Like he said, its not worth it.

@tr1tan actually bud just to let ya know coz she deleted each epic item individually before deleting the toon he can't get those items back. only the toon would have been restored and he would have had to either buy ingame mroe items until he could replace what he had or go through all the hell of gearin up again which i can tell you from experience is not as easy with no starting point
