Pibare ramarasam belongs to the family of the janaka raga chakravakam, but the more precise name is no doubt Ahir Bhairavi. But Ahir Bhairavi is a Hindustani Raga . Therefore in Carnatic music circles, it is also referred as chakravakam. The fact however remains that Ahir Bhairavi is chakravakam slightly blended with hindustani nuances.
Thanks for your words of appreciation. I'm now in San Jose, California, as a visitor. My parents Shri Meduri Narasimha Rao and Smt.Meduri Gnana Prasunamba are my gurus. Later I picked up finer nuances as taught by Padmabhushan Dr. Sripada Pinaka Pani garu.
