@0SerbianKnight0 It needs high THC and high CBD levels to be optimum. You need to find the right strains by trial and error since seed companies are unrelaible and often do not have their strains isolated properly, so the same strain from diff companies produces diff plants. The indica tends to make people sleepy and rest, and the sativa tends to energize people like for people who have depression, or something like that. We recommend indicas because they work. CBD is now known to be part of it.

@DeadJack57 There are many solvents that would work well. Ethanol if made pure would be great if it was high percentage and as cold as you can get it when you wash the cannabinoids off. No soaking in a bucket or jar for a week or a month, I know where that comes from - drug dealers trying to stretch out the yield for a smokable oil. Soaking does not do it for medicine - you don't want more crap in it, you want pure medicine. The purest medicine makes the best cure for everything.
It appears at 2:12 Rick is using the leaves as well as buds of the plant to make the oil? I heard one would also use the stalks too? And he says you need a whole pound for two ounces of oil. If one is (hypotetically) using this to cure skin cancer does anyone know how much oil you would really need? @buffalosoldier90 I'll field this one, the leaves were used because we had nothing else that day. Keep in mind this video was rushed to get information to dying people. We couldn't wait for the best of the best, so we used what we had when we had time.Use the best buds and the best cannabis that anyone who smokes it would want for smoking. While I do not advocate for smoking anything, you would be looking for the same thing. You are right, very little oil for most skin cancers as they are small.
@chrychek We like people to use oil on the affected cancer area even after it is visibly gone, which will seem amazing and impossible while you watch it happen. Just to make sure the area is completely free of cancer it is recommended to have at least about 5 grams of oil, and you might be able to make that with 2 ounces of good buds.
@MrSorbose It's been found to have a protective effect against lung cancers. Washington Post did an article on it. I'll post that article in this video's description for you or anyone else who wants to see it.

@19SeanMurphy79: Yeah, I was gonna ask that too. You do need certain facilities, such as a discrete location (loft, garage, basement...) but otherwise it's pretty straightforward. So long as you don't vent the heat, which is what most people think they should do. The plants don't need to be kept cool, they just need airflow. Venting the heat gives you an infrared "smoke signal" coming off your house, which is how the cops spot pot farms.
I suggest water curing the leaves and bud for one week or more. It'll appear you're losing mass, but you'll gain in potency. You'll be able to leave the plant matter in the oil waaaaaay longer without worrying about chlorophyll and other yuckies leading to more oil extracted. you'll end up with a purer and much more potent medicine. put untrimmed bud/fan leaves in container of water. replace with new water everyday. do for at least 7 days. when done, blow fan on it, it'll dry quickly.

doesnt work just eating the bud, you need to grind the bud, (or use hash) mix it with hot butter and cook to allow the THC mollecules to bind with the fat molecules. this way you can digest the thc properly.
@buddyp1310 Making butter products is silly when someone has cancer or another serious illness. Making pure oil is what is recommended and it can be taken with butter or coconut oil to digest properly in the GI tract. CBD and THC are needed. There are many ways to use marijuana, but if you want to be cured this is not going to work. If it did people would have known sooner, and they would be fat from trying to ingest all that is needed to cure a cancer. Food for thought.

That is not the same. Rick's Oil isn't made of hemp. It is made of cannabis flowers. Approx. 1 pound makes 2oz. syringe. It is extremely concentrated which is why it works so well. If you grow you can make this fairly cheap otherwise you will be spending about $5000 to make the medicine. Some dispensaries in CALI have a similar not as concentrated product. mostly indica.

@growindoors you know.. i have chronic pain from a connective tissue issue (lol) and smoking pot made it worse. I'd be willing to try the oil though.. I think the smoking itself was very uncomfortable for me in general. I'd try another method.

@groovylocks I had a similar experience, I had pain (I made this movie with Rick btw) and I didn't ever get relief from smoking pot, it always made it worse or more noticable. Hemp oil is what we say it is, and while I cannot guarantee it will heal you.. if anything can this is it.
Why would someone use Isopropol alcohol rather than grain alcohol? Tinctures usually use vodka and then a few weeks to evaporate. I use concentrates and they work better than opiates- No interaction with other drugs. I'm a legal medical marijuana patient. It works.
Everclear is okay for human consumption. Isopropol alcohol is not. Most methods of making oil leave some trace chemical behind and so does grain alcohol.. but the grain alcohol is fit to consume and the other is not. I would use Everclear, but it is much more expensive than 99% isopropol alcohol.
Anyone know if the bud material should be dried or fresh going into the solvent. Plus I wish Rick would also show us how to grow the plant in the first place.
Anyone here can correct if I am wrong, but I think you use fresh undried bud material. Think about it. Why dry it up? The THC is removed with the alcohol whether it is dry or wet. I think if you use dry material, you may get less "green plant material" in your final mix... but a little chlorophyl never hurt anyone.
Drying and freezing your materials only helps the trichoms falls of the plant material easier, I have experiemented with both methods and I yielded about 15% more oil when it was dry and frozen.
use one of the many forums that growers use. They are only willing to help people who are wanting to start their own crop, I personally use 420magazine forums because they have some great master growers there who are willing to provide great information on growing

You need to find the right strains by trial and error since seed companies are unrelaible and often do not have their strains isolated properly, so the same strain from diff companies produces diff plants. The indica tends to make people sleepy and rest, and the sativa tends to energize people like for people who have depression, or something like that. We recommend indicas because they work. CBD is now known to be part of it.

@DeadJack57 There are many solvents that would work well. Ethanol if made pure would be great if it was high percentage and as cold as you can get it when you wash the cannabinoids off. No soaking in a bucket or jar for a week or a month, I know where that comes from - drug dealers trying to stretch out the yield for a smokable oil. Soaking does not do it for medicine - you don't want more crap in it, you want pure medicine. The purest medicine makes the best cure for everything.

If one is (hypotetically) using this to cure skin cancer does anyone know how much oil you would really need? We couldn't wait for the best of the best, so we used what we had when we had time.Use the best buds and the best cannabis that anyone who smokes it would want for smoking. While I do not advocate for smoking anything, you would be looking for the same thing. You are right, very little oil for most skin cancers as they are small.

@chrychek We like people to use oil on the affected cancer area even after it is visibly gone, which will seem amazing and impossible while you watch it happen. Just to make sure the area is completely free of cancer it is recommended to have at least about 5 grams of oil, and you might be able to make that with 2 ounces of good buds.

@19SeanMurphy79: Yeah, I was gonna ask that too. You do need certain facilities, such as a discrete location (loft, garage, basement...) but otherwise it's pretty straightforward. So long as you don't vent the heat, which is what most people think they should do. The plants don't need to be kept cool, they just need airflow. Venting the heat gives you an infrared "smoke signal" coming off your house, which is how the cops spot pot farms.

I suggest water curing the leaves and bud for one week or more. It'll appear you're losing mass, but you'll gain in potency. You'll be able to leave the plant matter in the oil waaaaaay longer without worrying about chlorophyll and other yuckies leading to more oil extracted. you'll end up with a purer and much more potent medicine. put untrimmed bud/fan leaves in container of water. replace with new water everyday. do for at least 7 days. when done, blow fan on it, it'll dry quickly.

doesnt work just eating the bud, you need to grind the bud, (or use hash) mix it with hot butter and cook to allow the THC mollecules to bind with the fat molecules. this way you can digest the thc properly.

Making pure oil is what is recommended and it can be taken with butter or coconut oil to digest properly in the GI tract. CBD and THC are needed. There are many ways to use marijuana, but if you want to be cured this is not going to work. If it did people would have known sooner, and they would be fat from trying to ingest all that is needed to cure a cancer. Food for thought.

That is not the same. Rick's Oil isn't made of hemp. It is made of cannabis flowers. Approx. 1 pound makes 2oz. syringe. It is extremely concentrated which is why it works so well. If you grow you can make this fairly cheap otherwise you will be spending about $5000 to make the medicine. Some dispensaries in CALI have a similar not as concentrated product. mostly indica.

@growindoors you know.. i have chronic pain from a connective tissue issue (lol) and smoking pot made it worse. I'd be willing to try the oil though.. I think the smoking itself was very uncomfortable for me in general. I'd try another method.

Why would someone use Isopropol alcohol rather than grain alcohol? Tinctures usually use vodka and then a few weeks to evaporate. I use concentrates and they work better than opiates- No interaction with other drugs. I'm a legal medical marijuana patient. It works.

Everclear is okay for human consumption. Isopropol alcohol is not. Most methods of making oil leave some trace chemical behind and so does grain alcohol.. but the grain alcohol is fit to consume and the other is not. I would use Everclear, but it is much more expensive than 99% isopropol alcohol.

Anyone here can correct if I am wrong, but I think you use fresh undried bud material. Think about it. Why dry it up? The THC is removed with the alcohol whether it is dry or wet. I think if you use dry material, you may get less "green plant material" in your final mix... but a little chlorophyl never hurt anyone.

It is not "destroyed through the refinement process" where do you get this assumption? It is "refined" using things like Hexane, Isopropyl etc.
