FANTASTIC! This is a perfect demonstration of the unrestricted movement and natural gross motor development recommended for infants and toddlers by infant expert Magda Gerber. I write about her approach -- trusting infants to explore and play like this baby does, autonomously...independently. Children raised this way are graceful, poised, agile, self-confident.
@janetlansbury HI Janet - thanks! I just posted a little snippet of "Replicating Magda Gerber" on my channel. Irene. Many feldenkrais training will use the Gerber vid of "see how the move". In my training we watched it on our first day or training, and then on our last day 4 years later to see all the developmental milestones we as adults had explored!
@irenegutteridge Hi Irene! Would you allow me to post this on my site? I will give you full credit, of course! I'm going to go look at your Magda Gerbe one now..
Yup, you may. Feel free to check out our DONATE page and considering making a contribution to the project which will go to developing Baby LIv Part 2 and the next component of foundations, THe Martial Arts.
My 3-month-old son is in this process. He first rolled over at fifteen days old, which I caught on video accidentally. This is inspiring and makes me want to do the same type of footage for his own memories when he's a man.
This is beautifuland I am surprised by how much it moved me. A friend who has studied Feldenkrais sent me the link and now I am interested in learning more.
Can I use this footage in my five day workshop "the Gentle Birth Guardian Training". It would help illustrate so much of what I try to convey in other exercises. As an introduction to centering and grounding. This little piece speaks so well about many things. Feldenkreis changed my life and work in the early 80's. Thank you for posting.
Oh, so beautiful! Thank you! I'm expecting my own master teacher to be born any day now, and looking forward to exploring all of this and more with the little one (and sharing what I learn with my Feldenkrais students!)
It's great! Really hope you will succeed in this project, look forward to see the other videos!
