Tea party, not paid, no violence, normal everyday people with jobs and families, and they are called fringe, racist, and crazy. Occupy-Your-Time people are out there, because they don't have jobs, they are violent, make a mess everywhere they are, and don't even know what they want. We have to compete with that as a movement. At this point, I actually feel bad for the press. They are trying so hard to polish sh*t. Sad, just sad.
The presently unoccupied sleeping in the streets will find their focus and become a movement, a true occupation, and hopefully find gainful employment. Let's be patient while they find themselves. :-)
When the Republican party was formed it included the abolitionists. The Democrats were opposed to ending slavery. Lincoln’s main concern was to follow the will of the Founding Fathers and maintain the Union. His original strategy was to isolate slavery & keep it from spreading to the new territories & let it die out on it’s own. Joy’s strategy is to shoot her mouth off while Whoopi (“it wasn’t rape, rape”) Goldberg screams racism at everyone.
The civil war was not about slavery - it was about tariff abuse. Lincoln supported the Corwin Amendment that would solidify slavery in the southern states forever as a bribe to the Confederacy not to secede. Also, Lincoln supported plans to send all the slaves back to Africa to get rid of them. The emancipation proclamation was a political move to "officially" de-legitamize the secession ideologically by claiming it still had to listen to the USA government.
@ZombieX13 The certainly is not how Lincoln sounded at the time of the Lincoln - Douglas debates. He probably lost that Senate seat by publically saying the slavery would eventually have to go away.
@zvi303 True. He didn't make a decision either way and just kept his mouth closed b/c it was such a polarizing issue. He simply did not address the issue until he got into office and nothing else he did was remembered after the famous proclamation. Sad really because he's such a huge shit bag and he's praised as a great hero and not just because of his views on blacks but damn near everything.
When my kids were 2 & 3 years old, and they missed nap time, they'd get really cranky and start crying for no reason. If you asked them what was wrong, they didn't have a reason. If you asked them what they wanted you to do, they didn't have an answer. This is the very essence of Occupy Wall Street. They obviously upset and crying like babies ... but no one even knows what they really need to make things better"
@HumbleWillis you are fucking stupid. You obviously do not pay attention to the wall street movement very closely. There is no central message. it is a gathering of people. I really wish people would quite referring to the occupy wall street movement as one person with one message.
@mgwooley And that's the problem. They have zero message. How can anything be done or fixed if no one knows what the problem is? They're just a bunch of slackers and stoners who want more for nothing. They're just losers who have been so pampered their whole lives they have no idea what it really means to live in adverse conditions. They think they're suffering, but they live like the wealthy of most other nations.
@HumbleWillis REALLY?! Just a bunch of stoners & slackers huh? You obviously aven't heard many of their stories, or you haven't met the 80 year olds & the 60 year olds there, have you? You obviously haven't met the mothers, fathers, and conservatives alike that are there. People like you that promote, and spread ignorance disgust me.
How does Sesame Street define "poor" in today's society? Not enough money for a premium plan on their Verizon account? Mummy can't afford Starbuck's more than three times a week? Gimme a break! Poor doll had also best be FAT doll, if verisimilitude is to be achieved. ='[.]'=
Is a conservative trying to start a comical show on liberal? Haha i can not wait for the crazy Hitler comparisons

Tea Party rallies - Not one single arrest. Ever.
OWS - Thousands have been arrested.
Tea Party rallies - Left their rallies cleaner than before they began.
OWS - Human waste and garbage is becoming a crisis that effects the health of the entire public.
Tea Party rallies - Numbers in the hundreds of thousands. Everyday working Americans of all ethnic groups and political parties.
OWS - A few hundred under-achievers who's greatest accomplishment is a nose ring and some cool tattoos.

I have to disagree. MSNBC hired a racist, anti-semitic pogrom artist and gave him a show. Even Martin is nothing comapred to that.
MSNBC is the Ku Klux Klan channel.
