the city has placed planters at a couple of different locations in the park road loop to route out vehicle traffic and added a pedestrian lane. Bikes and people can easily loop the park, just not cars. So it is much more friendly to recreational use. The planters can be moved by the city for the race.
Yeah, I will be talking to the city of Syracuse about their plans for the park next year. Hope we don't have to change the venue.

Now at the Park they've closed off a bunch of the roads with ugly cinder blocks, it's real depressing, they better change it back.
