It's amazing what this man went through during the dictorial era of Brasil, both his wife and son were kidnapped by the military and I've heard he had many troubling nights drinking his sorrows away because of it. But somehow, he managed to live through this and continue to make extraordinary music! He most certainly has this American's respect and love as well as many others!
