Let me put it straight: Kirk Hammett is a good guitarists. He is NOT the best, but he is one of the most influential guitarists ever. YOU, picked up the guitar because at one point you were amazed at his solos. YOU deny that fact, therfore YOU are the person who is hiding a shame. Now, Kirk has good solos, Creeping Death, Fade To Black, Unforgiven, Trapped Under Ice, Disposable Heroes, Sanitarium, Damage Inc. Just stop fucking complaining. @Mohamed636 Ha you have no idea what you're on about. 2nds are chromatic and Kirk hardly does anything chromatic. Why can't people just enjoy what Kirk does? I totally agree with jfkdjfd that at some point in time we were all very impressed with Kirks playing. I've been playing for 21 years and have been through lots of technical influences but Kirks playing still stirs me and reminds of all the great things about playing the guitar. He's the Hendrix of thrash metal and fuses blues with modes.

I am aware he can do what he wants to do, and I dont have a problem with that. I provided CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM. What I have done in the music industry means shit, unless I placed myself on a platform equal or higher than Hammett, which I DID NOT DO.

I saw Metallica live in Australia recently, and they were fantastic. I had a criticism of Hammett's vibrato, that is ALL.
