@romcath84 The other way around. DOA saw birth in the nineties as a VF clone, right down to the button layout (guard-punch-kick). It even ran on the same hardware.

I also think that Tekken is better. Yes, VF is more realistic but i don't think that ppl want to be that way. We play games, because we want to do crazy things. But this is only my opinion. :)

For one, the chracter doesn't "try" to be cute, she's programmed. 2.How is she a poser, and what is she trying to pose as? Xiaoyu (Not "Xiayou") is VERY different, and the two aren't even compatible enough to compare. Your ignorance shows, that's Monkey Kung-fu, she moves nothing like a cat. Don't speak for others, VF has a great fanbase. Not all games have to be similar, stop comparing what doesn't need to be.

@Maciut Don't hide your mistakes behind the fact that it's an opinion. You have no insight as to whether everyone wants to do crazy things, and even then, there's still plenty of over-the-top stuff in VF as well. There's also the undeniable fact that VF is much easier for more payoff, though Tekken kicks VF's ass in presentation.

That said, VF5 disappoints me. VF4:Evolution is where it's at as far as I'm concerned.

p.s.

first time i play VF1 in arcarde, then on sega saturn with my friends. The second part of VF on sega saturn hits us with superb graphics and perfect gameplay, after that we play it on DC for a while (but VF TB was the weakest part of the series i think).

Years later we play on ps2 and now on the x-box.

I played all the other games, from Art of Fighting to Yie Ar Kung Fu, from Toshinden over Tekken to Soul Calibour, and i love these Games. But nothing compares to the flow of a good VF-Match.

Tekken issn't good as the dead or alive series thought. You move faster than virtua fighter, in fact even faster than dead or alive and the combos are so cool, especially the tag battles.

I like the monkey kungfu. But a woman using it just doesn't look right. They should have given it to some kid, but lion is filling that spot. A more elegant style like Crane would have been perfect for her. But once again, it's allready taken by Pai. unno.

It's really hard for me to say. I'm always partial to kids kicking butt you know. Shun Di has allready filled the old man spot. Since all the usual sterotypes are taken, I just don't know. :( I think Tekken did it best by giving Lei Wulong 5 watered down kungfu styles in one character. I miss Vanessa having two styles also.

I think they should give Eagle Claw to some ancient assassin woman with the traditional kung fu gi in purple. For Snake Fist, they probably need a young boy from Beijing or Hong Kong...something like that. Hey, they could use a Korean character who does acrobatic tang soo do

Monkey kung fu is badass is actually one of the more elite styles of kung fu, only a few out of high rank martial artists can really master it because it requires alot of speed and skill. I know its just a game but if you dont know anything about the style your dissing then stfu lol
