Yeah, The Showdown have pretty consistently been the sickest live experience I've ever had. I've seen them going on 8 or 9 times now, and I've never seen them play a bad show. They absolutely destroy every single time I've seen them.
Wish I could have seen them live at ichthus, would have been a second best band experience, first would be demon hunter, cause that would make my head explode...possibly. But nooo, the group I was with decided to go to a pizza place, so I missed it, and we can't go by ourselves which sucks even more. by the time we got back, they were already packing up, luckely I got to get an audograph from the lead singer, wish it was bigger, could hardly see it. Funny thing is he didn't have an accent
Christian metal Rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't send me any lame comments on how it sucks. because if you are listening to this you know it Rules anyway!!!!!!!!!!
I dont care what anyone says, thats definately copied off of Pantera, modified a bit, regardless, I love both bands, so cry about my comment, I dont care, dont change the fact that they are both good bands , I mean, who doesnt copy off of pantera nowadays, most metal singers try to mimic phil, and to me, you cant get a better guitar sound than dimebaggs chainsaw riffs
i have seen them live, they came to my school and played like 2 years ago. There awsome, they would have to be the best one that played out all 7 bands.
the one riff during the breakdown or right before where the guitarist is using a wah peddle...that riff was straight stolen from Pantera's song "The Great Southern Trendkill"
very true...it's the same with drum beats(cause i play drums),every once and a while there's something that sounds very similar but isn't exactly the same
@SleepingOnRoof Agree. First thing I thought of was Pantera, when I heard that one riff. (It's very hard to ignore.) The rest of the song is quite different.
SleepingOnRoof, no shit. Who isn't influenced by Metallica/Pantera in the metal scene? That doesn't excuse the fact that this is a blatant ripoff. If they had talent of their own they could write their own music.
@SuperiorGuitars Well, as I say, you can only have so many variations within a certain range of a few notes, similarities will happen. For example, what metal band HAS NOT muted open strings?
They don't sound that good live, subs r terrible, and ruining everything I'd honestly like to see this song on Guitar Hero 4 though, that would be an excellent expert song. I'd like to try it haha.
the showdown rocked the house when i saw them and it wasnt becuase everyother band sucked pillar, decyfer down and day of fire played and all were amazing but the showdown took the cake
what I meant by the showdown is horribal live is that they are way better on the cd duh!! I do love the showdown by the way they are the most amasing band ever there music I mean.
the riff sounds SO much like Chimaira's The Flame.
