  • the riff sounds SO much like Chimaira's The Flame.

  • pantera is a heavy influence of this band thats why you hear the similarities

  • coll song right

  • Trivium/Pantera/Metallica/Killswitch Engage

Actually a pretty kick arse combination!

  • I've seen them live before. They were freaking awesome! I'm seeing them again this summer :D

  • I'm seeing them again at Icthus. Oh YEAH!

  • seen them live and thats when i fell in love with them! awesome!

  • Yeah, The Showdown have pretty consistently been the sickest live experience I've ever had. I've seen them going on 8 or 9 times now, and I've never seen them play a bad show. They absolutely destroy every single time I've seen them.

  • They have always done that, me and my old band use to play shows with em.

  • Wish I could have seen them live at ichthus, would have been a second best band experience, first would be demon hunter, cause that would make my head explode...possibly. But nooo, the group I was with decided to go to a pizza place, so I missed it, and we can't go by ourselves which sucks even more. by the time we got back, they were already packing up, luckely I got to get an audograph from the lead singer, wish it was bigger, could hardly see it. Funny thing is he didn't have an accent

  • Christian metal Rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't send me any lame comments on how it sucks. because if you are listening to this you know it Rules anyway!!!!!!!!!!

  • best band to see live...saw them at ichthus this year...AMAZING!!!

  • @kohlllll I'm seeing them at Icthus this year :D

  • @jonnyshredfayce no way dude im goin this year too! its gunna be sick

  • @kohlllll Awesome Bro! Drivin about 9 hours to get there. so worth it

  • @jonnyshredfayce its about 3 hours from me...where u from?

  • @kohlllll New York State. you?

  • @jonnyshredfayce tennessee...ridin up there with my church

  • @kohlllll That's cool. My church would never take kids to ANY concert haha

  • @jonnyshredfayce lol yea my youth leader is awesome so we do all kinds of stuff like this

  • @jonnyshredfayce Did you see them both nights?

  • HOLY SHIT!

  • well, they did admit to copying pantera once live, its actually on their myspace song.

  • I dont care what anyone says, thats definately copied off of Pantera, modified a bit, regardless, I love both bands, so cry about my comment, I dont care, dont change the fact that they are both good bands , I mean, who doesnt copy off of pantera nowadays, most metal singers try to mimic phil, and to me, you cant get a better guitar sound than dimebaggs chainsaw riffs

  • They're comin to cumberland Tommar!

    So fuckin pumped!!!!

  • this is cool

  • i saw them when they let their first album out, before many people knew about them

  • i work with david;;the leader singerrrr!!!!!

  • i have seen them live, they came to my school and played like 2 years ago. There awsome, they would have to be the best one that played out all 7 bands.

  • MAN I WANNA SEE THESE GUYS LIVE SO BADLY!!!

I JUST WISH MORE PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT THESE GUYS!!!!!!

Watch in a while, these guys will one of the greatest Metal artists of the century.

  • i saw them a couple weeks ago and it was awesome! you definately should. i recomend it.

  • the one riff during the breakdown or right before where the guitarist is using a wah peddle...that riff was straight stolen from Pantera's song "The Great Southern Trendkill"

  • um dude...if you didn't know, these guys are a Metallica-Pantera influenced band..

  • oh snap

  • Bro there are millions of riffs out there, many of them sounding similar, it can be fairly similar I will admit but not EXACTLY the same.

  • very true...it's the same with drum beats(cause i play drums),every once and a while there's something that sounds very similar but isn't exactly the same

  • @SleepingOnRoof Agree. First thing I thought of was Pantera, when I heard that one riff. (It's very hard to ignore.) The rest of the song is quite different.

  • tjbreez1 who is the leader of this viedo.

  • SleepingOnRoof, no shit. Who isn't influenced by Metallica/Pantera in the metal scene? That doesn't excuse the fact that this is a blatant ripoff. If they had talent of their own they could write their own music.

  • Dude, chill.

The Showdown has more talent then MANY other bands i've seen.

And its ONE riff, jeez. So what? Who DOESN'T copy from Pantera?

  • What riff are you y'all talking about?

  • @SuperiorGuitars Well, as I say, you can only have so many variations within a certain range of a few notes, similarities will happen. For example, what metal band HAS NOT muted open strings?

  • lol I don't thats a wah pedal.

  • They don't sound that good live, subs r terrible, and ruining everything I'd honestly like to see this song on Guitar Hero 4 though, that would be an excellent expert song. I'd like to try it haha.

  • damn there good live

  • the showdown rocked the house when i saw them and it wasnt becuase everyother band sucked pillar, decyfer down and day of fire played and all were amazing but the showdown took the cake

  • what I meant by the showdown is horribal live is that they are way better on the cd duh!! I do love the showdown by the way they are the most amasing band ever there music I mean.

  • Just awesome!!!! I love these guys!!!

    ROCK ON!

  • Your horrible live!

  • sickkkk

  • jungeeeeeeee!
